Ari this happens everywhere and lets face it most people do there damn damnedest to get out of tottenham so why should poorly paid footballers be any different?

No new signings yet no sign of confidence from the chairman on his team. Surely they deserve a fat bonus system or something.

You can't be serious there is a major pay differential and I said it last year. When longhand is on 120 a week and aldereweild is on 50 then clearly the pay system is pushing the performers out and nothing else.

My sympathy is lacking for Rose who signed a deal last summer.

Alderweireld is a different situation and he should have parity with the top earners being offered this summer.

Nah its a team wide issue. West ham players are earning more strewth I bet some championship lads are on more than half your team. That youth policy which enabled smaller wage scales has passed his sell by date with your team. The pitfalls of over achieving. The only thing that dpes not deserve a rise is the the trophy cabinet cleaner.

In truth most players are overpaid but I know what you are saying.

I hope it doesn't happen at Tottenham.

Fantastic debut for our new Kyle Walker (junior version) alongside Eriksen,

they were both clearly the best players on the pitch.

Delli was our game changing match winner.

I'm sure all of these will be pleased that you've given the credit to Poch for coaching him. Why don't they just sack this lot and let Poch get on with it all on his own.

A total loss of monday morning sense of humor and/or an incredibly childish response, tinged with knowledge you paid 50m for our second choice right back.   BB will love it though, its right down his "banal post alley"

Good start.

I see everything coming together at last. Quality manager. Extensive back room set up. Ground development. Good players. Sound finances.

Alli was the best player outside the EPL the year before going to Spurs. Good for them to have gotten him. There are others that Spurs should be looking at too. (They probably are!!)

Pundits are also talking about Spurs games as being the most eagerly waited. For years, back in the 1960s, the biggest game of the season was Spurs v Man Utd.

As for Newcastle; a second string outfit for many years.

He forgot to include his kindergarten coach........did you know Man City spent more money on their defense the the Democratic Republic of Congo!  True.......

And they should canter to the title this year unless Guardiola continues to underachieve although he doesn't have many excuses this year.

I guess you didn't like the response to your equally banal post Carms. Don't know why you have it in for Pep so much but you do keep having a dog at him

The way Kyle Walker-Peters is playing perhaps they bought our third choice right back.

The pass from Eriksen to Alli for the first goal was sublime I thought.

In 2017 Eriksen has more assists than any player in europe's top five leagues.  He's hugely underrated, still.  Surprised really he wasn't Barca's first choice, despite being a big fan of Coutinho.

Doesn't fit the marquee signing quality of Coutinho though does he?

Just quietly gets about his business.

And I reckon he ill have more on-the-pitch minutes, over the course of a season  than Coutinho due to his style. I tried to get Erikson in all my FF tearms.

How times have changed.

I started watching Spurs the year before 'the double' year. The year they got the double they only used 16 (if I recall correctly) players for a long season. You could put money on knowing the same team week in and week out. Tactical changes were unheard of. The only time regulars did not  play was due to injury.

The other top teams were probably similar.

Barca don't need Coutinho, Brazilians sell more shirts.

Only start coaching at under 9s level. What are they thinking? How can they possibly keep up with City?

Good to see ex-Wanderer Wayne "man in a suitcase" Burnett topping the list. Sacked by Dagenham, now this gig. How has he managed that?

A whole lot of rumours abound about our potential signings.

Seems likely we are strengthening our defence overall.

The lad from Ajax would be a fine addition and possible replacement for Alderwiereld if a contract can't be sorted.

Sit back and relax, this is going to be a very good window for us.  Sanchez, Barkley plus another.  Forget all the media nonsense, we've just been letting the madness finish.  Its called being prudent rather than just throwing stupid money at a situation.

Alderweirald has two years left but one way or tother i very much doubt if Levy will let it run down much further.  If we lose the best center back in the league we lose him, end off.  Its not as if we are going to leave ourselves without quality cover as viewers saw in the emergence of Walker-Peters last sunday.

We have a settles starting eleven and with Winks, Lamela and hopefully Rose back soon were looking good.  Hopefully the media will start bleating on about the others as per usual and forget about us.....did you know were taken 42 out of a possible 45 league points available!  Proper bottle jobs we are!!!

We don't have enough depth in the squad to compete on all fronts we need at least 3-4 additions

without letting anyone else go.

For me a good window would mean bringing in :-

Ryan Sessegnon

Davinson Sanchez

Ross Barkley

Total cost approx £100M

Danny Rose can F/O up north next season once Sessegnon has settled.

Precisely, that would represent an excellent window.  All deals that can be done too what with the 70m we've already recouped.

Now that Gylfi's off to Everton the Barkley deal can finalize.  The Sanchez deal is almost there and i'm sure Fulham will eventually back down over Sessignon.  All quality players that will surely develop under Poch.  Those deals will be made up with add ons so thats not a problem.

We suffered bad injury set backs last season but still made it through.  These signings, coupled with Lamela and Rose (if he isn't sold) back from long term lay offs will properly beef up the squad.  We'd be looking very very good and i'm not that worried about the striker situation because we have Son to step in if needed.

Funny but Danny Rose seems to have forgotten he was nothing more than a very average left back until Pochettino turned up.  When i've had the opportunity to see Sessignon its clear he has far more natural ability and has the making of a superb player.
