Lasagna & garlic bread. The lasagna freezes great and will feed the three of us four times.

The garlic butter lasts months in the fridge...

It's age since l had a lasagna and that looks very good.

I roast my garlic in the oven with olive oil and sea salt to use in garlic butter. Though l can also just eat it like candy.

I buy mine premade from Makro. You get thin or xtra thickI prefer the thinner ones. They are very cheap too.

I only have a fan oven, but all in all ,they taste loads better than those ones you buy in the Plaza.

I bought some from Foodland but they weren't much cop. I'll have a look in Makro.

What recipes are you guys using for the pizza bases?

Normal bread mix,

170gm water, 1/2 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, 15gm cooking oil, add bread flour to make 500gm total, 1.5 measures of yeast.

Chuck it in the bread machine on 'dough' then wait 30 minutes after mixing before using.

Makes 2 large pizza (6-7bht per base). Just waiting for this to rise for tonight's pizzas.

Nice! What kind of sausage is that?

One thing Thailand has is great eggs. I love that Bertolli balsamic, but never tried it on fries....

Spring veg and bacon risotto. Feeds one.

In a deep frying pan, fry 4 rashers of smoked bacon cut into 1cm strips in olive oil for about 6/7 minutes till crispy. Take out of the pan and set aside.

In the remaining oil gently fry a quarter of a medium onion and a fat clove of garlic; both finely chopped; for about 2/3 minutes. Add 2oz or 50g of arborio rice and stir in the oil to coat.

Make 500 ml of hot veg stock with half a stock cube, no/low salt is best. Gradually add the stock to the rice and stir continuously with a wooden spoon. Season with fresh ground black pepper to taste. After 20 minutes add 1 oz of asparagus broken into 1cm pieces and same of baby leeks sliced into 6mm/1/4" discs. After a further 10 minutes add a handful of frozen garden peas. After another 5 or ten minutes when most of the liquid is absorbed and the rice is cooked put the bacon back in the mix, stir in and then turn off the heat. Add a knob of butter and a liberal sprinkling of parsley, dried or fresh. Mix in.

Serve in a shallow bowl.
