In a tragic incident in Chiang Mai's Mae Chaem district, a Karen refugee from Myanmar is suspected of murdering his Thai employer before fleeing to Mae Hong Son province.
The incident occurred on June 27 in a mountain orchard in Ban Mae Satop Tai, Mae Suek subdistrict. Police discovered the body of 57-year-old Boonchuay, a local resident, with severe head injuries. A blood-stained log was found nearby, and Boonchuay's Honda Wave motorcycle and mobile phone were missing.
Two Karen workers employed by Boonchuay became the main suspects. On June 30, investigators apprehended 17-year-old Cho Kalale, a refugee, hiding in a temporary shelter in Ban Mae Lama Luang, Sop Moei district, Mae Hong Son province. The stolen motorcycle was recovered, and Cho Kalale was handed over to Mae Chaem police.
Previously, on June 28, 20-year-old Cho Chaepor, another refugee, was arrested in Ban Mae La Uen. Both arrests involved collaboration between Sop Moei police, border patrol officers from Unit 3602, and local administrative agencies.
Investigations revealed that both suspects had illegally left their refugee shelters to work as agricultural labourers. The motive for Boonchuay's murder remains unclear, and the suspects were transferred to Mae Chaem Police Station for further questioning and legal proceedings.

Sumy Oblast. June 1 Russia occupied just over 100 km2. June 30 Russia occupies just over 200 km2. The eastern front has moved in favour of Russia by 200 km2 over the same period. I would like someone to explain how this could be described as a stalemate.
Sumy Oblast. Red denotes held by Russian troops, grey denotes in dispute and blue denotes recaptured by Ukrainian troops. The blue to the bottom right of the map is what's left of Ukraine's Kursk incursion at 5.5 km2.
