When and where will we see the first seaside mall in Jomtiem opening up?

When Compare Pattaya and Jomtien then Pattaya has about 5 more or less seaside shopping malls i including here the upcoming terminal 21 mall.Jomtien has till now zero seaside malls but its obvious its bound to happen or will they simply built thr 6 th seaside mall again in Pattaya?

Let's hope Jomtien does not become the shopping slum that Pattaya has become . It's nice to have the stores so close then just get on the Baht bus and in minutes be in Jomtien that is in another league of beach compared to the trash Pattaya beach area has become now .

If nobody can make a business case for building a proper supermarket in Jomtien I doubt very much they'll be interested in building a whole shopping mall.

Probably the people living  in Jomtien and najomtien etc will not agree with your opinion btw its not minutes to commute  from somewhere in jomtien to a seaside mall in Pattaya.

No sure they do business case studies overhere.i think its more a matter of building it and then wait if customers will come or not.imho it makes no sense having 5 seaside malls in Pattaya and none in Jomtien.

It's irrelevant if people living in Jomtien or Na Jomtien agree with me or not, the only opinions that really matter are those of the business people who would have to stump up the money and take all the risk associated with such a development.

It will be built just a matter of where exactly and when.Sure people from Jomtien and surroundings will like going to the movies bowling groceries etc without a 45 minutes songteaw ride

For example in Pattaya there is royal garden mall ,Avenue mall,Mikes mall,Central mall, central festival mall, and soon terminal 21 mall.all malls more or less 500-800 meters away from the next mall. Then go to the Jomtiem  beach side on the entire stretch of 10 km zero malls just condos ,some small shops and restaurants..

Yes and i wonder why the keep risking it building them in Pattaya more or less right besides a mall from their competitors instead of making it in Jomtien where that mall would be the only one.why isnt there for example an Central seaside Jomtien mall yet?

Easy on a scooter.

Off-course not everybody rides them but I can't live without mine.

Yes it is a bit odd that all those malls in Pattaya keeps popping up and Jomtien don't get one?

Well I live in north Pattaya so not effected but I feel sorry for you guys living in Jomtien and relying on public transport.

Yes, Jomtien needs some kind of mall but it would have to be done intelligently as far as what businesses would work here.

The mall would Need nice modern open design good views and some hotel or penthouses on top.then the malls from the inside are more or less the same.cinema groceries foodcourt, banks bowling etc

" Jomtien needs some kind of mall  "

why? To try to sell the same crap as they are in the other malls ? You can hardly say they are a raging success at the moment?

The bay will be a white elephant. The Avenue is dying slowly.

There is no way that Jomtien has a big enough population to support another shopping mall

Are u okey? U sound somewhat depressive..malls u know food movies bowling clothes banks u make it sound that going to a mall is same as going to a funeral.yes pattaya has 6 seaside malls which is a high number but jomtien needs atleast one seaside mall.

As much as I'd like to see a decent shopping mall, I'd settle for a decent supermarket.  Food Mart is okay as far as it goes, but is a bit small and limited in selection.

Now a Central mall with their signature supermarket in the basement would be quite nice!

Use Google and type in the words “ shopping malls going extinct “ and after please give me your opinion as to why the same economic dynamics won’t apply here?

A mall in Jomtien? HAHA No way!  Everybody I know who lives there wants to leave many properties on the market. Save $100 dollars a month move to Jomtien, seriously??

Not that tourists do spend a lot of money,  but they do walk in central no tours or tourists go to Jomtien.

The Russians come to Central, but hit up the cheap food court never spend other money at the mall.

No tourists who are mall rats will ever want to go to Jomtien. Terminal 21 in the future and the others are be so fantastic.

Jomtien is a sad depressing place.  Everyone comes to central to have a real life and fun time Jomtien is a total bore.....

Yes u please stay in that centrall mall of urs with ur indian and arab mates.True Pattaya has six seaside malls but most of them are empty soon as there is one seaside mall in jomtien it would become a busy hotspot for holiday makers and beachlovers.

According to "Pattaya Urban legend" the reason (s) for so many condos, hotels, another large mall (Terminal 21) are: 1) More and more Bangkok people are escaping to Pattaya for a quick weekend retreat (not looked upon as a seedy dump for "seedy farangs" anymore 2) Big time investors see more and more Chinese coming to Pattaya & though most visit on a "package tour" the younger affluent, independent Chinese are visiting solo. Also the ones with money  are purchasing some of the condos such as Centric. Cove, The Palm, Base... 3) Some local Thai businessmen think eventually casinos will be allowed in Pattaya. Some farangs with hot-air spouting off associated the reason the military is trying to "clean up" the seaside of Walking Street and the pier area is because of this gaming "dream".60

(I have lived here 12 years and I definitely there is a change of the kind of tourist that is visiting Pattaya now. Those aging "farangs" 60+ years from Europe and America are finding the long flights not as appealing as their younger days and they are fading away...)

If i was one of the investors from the terminal 21 mall group I certainly would have placed that mall somewhere on the Jomtien seaside simply because a shopping mall there has much more potential and way less competition as where they  are building it now.jomtien frequent  busy with Bangkok people than chinese and russians.the market at jomtien soi 10 is totally packed.there so many new condos hotels in jomtien With a better beach and less congested roads as in pattaya.

They are getting ready to build giant hospital and the guy building it is the guy who owns much of the hospital chains here . Seems the money is in sick care because so many are sick from food and lifestyle .
