Thai Television Channel 3 and BEC-Tero Entertainment, holder of the Miss Thailand World license, announced this week that they have selected the young lady who will participate in this year’s Miss World contest.

 

Followers of the pageant, which has representatives from more than 100 countries, are aware that the selection is usually made through a national contest but the organiser decided this year to cancel the 2017 event in order to mourn the passing of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

 

Instead, Phatlada “Milk” Kullaphakthanaphat, First Runner-up in the 2016 Miss Thailand World contest, has been chosen to represent Thailand in the 2017 Miss World contest that will be held at the end of this year in China. The date and venue of the final will be announced later. Miss World will also have a new format for this year with, the organisers say, “greater emphasis on social media and interactivity”.

agenda and behind the scenes deals and lots of money changes hands,

and mostly at the mercy of the gay community say so,

with the runner up, not necessarily the best looking one....

Never knew Thai women had fair skin until my first holiday in the country.  Not a fan of the Thai obsession with fair complexions.

Now we need the looks like a ladyboys...too much plastic surgery and of course in my village... Are their prettier girls in Thailand? Probably but I don't bump em down the station every morning.

It's somewhere in the Thailand 4.0 manual I think...

Not all Thai's are dark shin.   Just go to Chiang Mai and you will see many lighter ladies,  not that it really matters as there are beauties in all colors.

 

I'd rather see they hired the PMs favourite 'singing twerker' to be put out there on the stage

Isn't social media and interactivity what couples do when the dine together , both parties looking at their ipod, tablet , phone things instead of talking face to face ?

You are absolutely right Mr. Starky, and with the greatest respect to your own undoubted and unsurpassed physical beauty, I wouldn't crawl across her to get to you. She is a beauty by any standards, and good luck to her!

Bc part of being in the contest is being vain enough to enter and vapid enough to jump thru all the hoops toward victory. 

 

Stage training for this sort of thing would drive a really intelligent woman mad I'd think. The pettiness and cattiness, the egos. Then there's all surgeries and dieting bc many are not naturally stunning. Then as someone mentioned, Entertainment like this especially in Thailand is largely controlled by the gay so there's that as well.
