When convicted, I surely hope the Thai inmates are aware of the nature of his crime, and his sick preferences.

that would make a big difference in the United States prisons, but here in Thailand I think not! just look at how the thai's treat sex in general.

Some interesting and rather odd responses on this.

The warrant was for his house, not someone else.

His excuses are the same old ones I have heard many times.  Like being stopped alone in a car with a baggie of cocaine and claiming it belongs to someone else.  OK, sure.

They had enough evidence to get the warrant and it is in his house, in his possession.

And a comment about everyone has skeleton's in their closet.  Geez, sure but most I hope are not of little kids.....

so much hostility by TV members who's lack of education is once again promulgated by their hateful and ignorant post. really rather a working class knee jerk reaction to what is a psychological illness. this man if guilty needs treatment, but not the kind suggested by most of the TV gang. doubt many have been to University.  have not meet too many in Thailand that have.

says the guy who writes english like a 5 year old.

He may told the true. If his computer was used by other people, or if he bought second hand and didn't cleaned hidden files. There are hundreds of free porno sites in Asia with explicit images and videos of underage girls, where it is possible to unload free files and without membership. How I know? Two years ago a 15 years old student proudly shows me his computer loaded with hundred of professional and amateur desgusting porno pictures and videos, and the online sites where he was taking it for free. Hundreds. I asked him  if his parents knows about. His said that his parents don't know to use computers. I commented with my Thai wife,  a Government school principal. By my surprise she said that sometimes they find porno loaded in the school computers....and years ago they fired an employer with porno in his office computer, and suspended students with porno on its tablets.

a friend's son told me similar things

Sorry but that old argument is totally false. If there were no customers, there would be no one forcing children to make kiddie porn.

And you think you can eradicate sexual desire in all its forms but the one's you approve of?

Good luck tiger. You and what army? Half of whom are probably gay.

etc etc etc. . . the naiveté confounds profoundly.

I suggest you wake up to the real world as quickly as possible.

No customers! On what planet?

They're all pervs!  If you think there's nothing wrong with it, you need locking up!

I think the word you're looking for is child abuser or pedo. They need to be locked up (or put down).

But there's nothing wrong with being a perv.

You are perverting the meaning of the word "pervert". 555

Uh OK, maybe to you but read the varies definitions of Pervert.

Not something I think exactly something one strives to be.

But, to each their own.

They won't care. Thai prisons hold rapists, kiddie diddlers, extortionists, junkies, whores, violent  criminals and  the mentally ill.

And before  making the assumption the guy is guilty, why not wait to see the facts of the case. It is not hard to juice up a computer with some garbage. Local computer shop can do it, if the laptop was brought in for servicing etc. He might have a rentboy or rentgirl or wife or ex staying with him who wants to hurt him. I don't know. Do you?

Wow, pretty far fetched.  Seriously, a computer shop did it?

I suppose they magically sent it and received it at from his apartment also?

Even though some think Thai police are inept, they still have procedures they have to follow.  I bet they are very careful especially with these types of cases.  To get a search warrant they probably had been watching him for a while and have numerous inappropriate exchanges.  Possibly even a UC connected with him and he took the bait.

I hope there are updates on this case.

Not defending this guy but how easy is it for someone to pop some files on your computer then try to extort money from you to make the charges go away? Maybe an angry girlfriend getting revenge? How do these officials know to go knock on this guys door in the first place?

Let the police find out, somewhere somehow they got a warrant, smells like a tip -off.......and then Bung could be fishing in the right pond!!!!!!

I'm sure the Thai Police have never, ever, ever set somebody up by putting such images on their computer..............

Unfortunately evidence found by the RTP isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

Yeah, most people don't strive to be perverts. Its just something they are.

To each their own - cheers!

It's good enough evidence for media like 'The Sun' to make mountains from the molehill, and people are gullible enough to believe them.

A big problem is that the Thai language classes everything from rape to just a kid posing in a state of undress as 'Lamok anarjarn' which the Western media translates as the most severe 'child porn'. In America some parents get arrested and their kids taken away just for photographing their kids in the bath.

Unless something has changed, I didn't know Thailand had any laws specifically against Child Porn.  Assuming he is being charged with having pornography unless they have finally enacted laws specific to Child Porn .

More likely he has been visiting some of the sick sites overseas,

and Western Police operating sting operations have obtained his

That's my guess, too. Or, less likely, he showed off his gallery to someone, who then took action.

Damn pedophiles have this assumption all over the world that Thailand is a safe haven for their leud acts with children. If he's guilty, they should put him on Thai television and show his face like other criminals.
