A tour bus driver and 10 Chinese tourists, including a two-month pregnant woman, were injured when their bus developed brake failure and crashed into two cars before plunging into a roadside ditch at the foot of Wat Phra Thart Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai on Monday.

There were altogether 32 Chinese tourists on the bus at the time of the accident at about 4.15 pm. All the injured were later taken by police and rescue workers to Maharaj Chiang Mai hospital for first-aid treatment.

Bit more than a ditch there.

The owners and occupants of the building below look like they had a lucky escape.

I think this should be called" Brain failure",there is no way

that all these accidents are caused by brake failure, the

driver has to have an excuse for their careless driving,

too fast, wrong gear, and not taking due care and attention,

so they say ,"The brakes failed",wonder if the Police ever

check to see if this is true.

I wonder what's lined up for the rest of the almost 1.4 billion!  There really needs to be a new plan (drownings, bus crashes, rip-offs and etc - [From ChrisY1's post, above] ) to get rid of these Cheap Charlie Foreigners.

Chinese tourists getting hammered here in January.....drownings, bus crashes, rip-offs and etc.....but they'll keep coming here !

They come here for the annual cull !

I highly recommend to take  out all the braking systems of buses, minivans, trucks etc... this will immediately eliminate the " brake failure excuse" and offer room for creativity....chinese people contribution to safety improvement in Thailand is second to none. Thank you for helping and sincerely sorry for your losses....
