  • to me ..the Thai culture isn't designed to take on the speed at which life around them is developing...light years apart...its not in their DNA...and cannot handle the stress that comes along with it.

I saw this on Thai news this morning. The translation I received said that the man had his throat slit.

" A man has been murdered allegedly over a parking spot dispute"

Nah, I believe there are many Thais who would take another person's life just over a parking space - the guy is dead so not 'allegedly'.

I remember growing up, seeing those people standing on street corners yelling about how the world was coming to an end and thinking to myself "What a nut job."

Now, not so much.

Yes. Knife control laws would certainly have prevented this. :saai:

Maybe he parked his jealous murderers ex  ?

Update

Thais living near SR condo told me that this was a drug deal gone wrong. Two guys on a motorbike robbed and murdered the van driver. Clothing of the murder was found in a local temple.

I found this a sad story ending in an awful waste of life, then read it was a minivan driver.

They must ban large knives and only allow small dull knives so they can stop the killings.

also seems to be a lot of bad guys with guns.......maybe need to look to the USA for a solution!

That's so just like my wife. She creates such a shit storm around her that whatever you were arguing for becomes worthless. The divorce can't come quick enough for me.

You can make it work........ just agree that you are wrong everytime.

While driving vehicles, it's channeled as highly aggressive and dangerous driving.

This sort of thing is not just confined to Thailand, Thai people in general are usually non confrontational, that's the way I find them.

Yes, now what about a 24 hour crackdown on people who carry them.:cheesy:

A angry country

That's just ridiculous. I have travelled over most of Thailand and never came across any angry Thais, but in Scotland, a very different story.

Lots of angry Thais in Scotland?

Hope you get out alive. Hide all the sharp objects in the house.

Well, sure. Laws don't work so why should we have government at all.

Anarchy!  Back to the days before civilization messed up our lives!

"allegedly" refers to the parking spot dispute being the reason for the murder.

Such an inefficient way to kill...Here in the US we prefer assault rifles to murder many at one go...
