African gems dealer shot twice in Chantaburi - but the bullets bounce off!

6pm.jpg

CCTV from outside a housing estate in Chantaburi in Thailand's east showed the moment when an African man was shot at by the driver of a car.

As Dabu, 42, was returning to his rented house from some early morning jogging a White Yaris made a move towards him.

The window was lowered and Sanook said a gun was fired at the African.

He was hit twice - in the right ribs and on the upper left arm. But the bullets only left a graze and a little blood.

The car sped off in the direction of Chantaburi city.

The attack happened outside the Silapornville Phase 1 estate on Yanwirot Road in Muang district at about 6 am.

No shell casings were found at the scene and it is not known what gun was used.

Dabu - a gems trader - said that after a visit to hospital he intends to report the matter to police.

He said he had no idea why he might be targeted in this way as he had no problems with anyone.

Sanook surmised that it may have been a case of mistaken identity.

That is the usual result when using an airsoft gun

He must have been wearing a Thai Amulet, the only reason the bullets bounced off.

Must be the same way the police work (judging from recent reports targeting foreigners) - he was black, therefore guilty.

I'd think back to who was sat in the next seat to you who took an interest in you business on the last African plane ride.

It reminds me of an incident in Uganda decades ago when Idi Amin ruled. He was riding standing up in a jeep type vehicle in convoy when a dissenter in the crowds lining the route threw a grenade at his vehicle. It hit Idi in the head and bounced off into the crown exploded and killed several.

De old Idi shook his head and muttered "What dat?"

Nope, a powerful amulet is at work here.

He must have had it on charge overnight though.

He must have the extra-special protection tattoos and a dozen or so amulets.

His age   number of shots.   Moo Baan Phase  Time

   42                      02                           1                       6

Good luck everyone!

Very possible the guy holding up his shirts is.....an African mate of his.  All very clear if you watch the video.
