The "beautiful Thai girl" myth?

I would say it’s more odd to want to post a photo of yourself or your partner on an annonymous forum. 

 

Most of the people who do are just looking for admiration and likes and most don’t believe them anyhow so it’s pointless.

I don’t care for social media, I feel that we all give too much away about ourselves, where we are, what we are doing, who we are with, what our political views are ... the concept of privacy seems not be an issue for the younger generation. Yet too much information makes you vulnerable to fraud, and might lose you a job offer if you or one of your friends posts a pic of you throwing up outside a nightclub on a stag do.

 

I see few if any advantages of posting photographs of loved ones, they’ll only be met with lewd comments, and why put them through that?

You do have a point, Alex. I consider Facebook to be a narcissist haven. To me, Twitter is for twits.

I can remember a nutcase who threatened to find me and cave my skull in, simply because I had observed his Thai GF may have had boyfriends before him. There are some disturbed people on TV.

The other point about it is the communication apps like Line and WhatsApp ... now we are all supposed to be accessible immediately. I read somewhere that a couple can use a phone app that gives their location at any point in time ... the State has us all locked into a "1984" surveillance state and the sad thing is that we've all done it voluntarily.

Thai women are rather sexy on average. Much of this can be explained by their demeanor. Where women in Western countries are "empowered" and "equal" to men -- which is a great thing for society, Thai women are comfortable being distinct from men. This makes even a relatively physically unattractive Thai girl more attractive overall than her average Western female counterpart.

 

The other thing that most of us find attractive about Thai women (and Asian women, more generally) is that they are petite. If you instantly made all Thai women as large as average Western women -- even thin Nordic ones, 80% of us blokes would be far less interested in Thai women. They are small and resemble young girls even into their old age.

 

That said, I'd rather play hide the sausage with a Thai women and let her fix me a quick dinner but then immediately send her off and have a conversation with a Western woman.

So without getting into the Thai thing of prostitution, bar girls etc which is pretty specific to Thailand, isn't it more down to one of those inexplicable, 'what makes anyone attractive' to someone else.

 

Walk down any street in San Francisco and a good 30% of the couples you see will be white guys with some version of Asian.

 

So, these are normal people, not barflys or hookers as in the the Pattaya (insert your prefered hooker location) scenario, who for whatever evolutionary reason just seem to be attracted to one another.

 

You could make the same argument why are many white women attracted to Black guys, and No it's not all about the 'dick'.

 

I'll fess up all my life I was attracted to Asians in general. I distinctly remember, I was 14 years old, and 2 Vietnamese girls showed up in my High School class. One of them made me fail a midterm exam! lol

Agree. Same in many major American urban centers though the American west coast has more Asians. 

 

I put this tendency down to the points I made above with a distinction in western countries that sees Asian women relentlessly focused on upward mobility. Many of the Asian women in Western countries are fairly ugly by Asian standards. In some bizarre way, it's sort of the reverse to us old, fat, smelly blokes dating out of our typical western league ????

 

So, this means that white guys get more play from alot of Asian women, and those, for reasons I mentioned earlier, they find more attractive.

Could certainly be true for many. As a bit of barstool science on my part, I could guess Asian women are evolutionarily most feminine and White men most masculine - if you average our physical with socioeconomic and political power. Our Asian brothers mostly, not all, have the cash but too effeminate, African brothers little cash or power but very physically masculine.

Low end poor caucasians arrive here and are seen are easy pickings as more gullible than say an Asian dude , and falsely seen as rich , from Asian misconceptions that white guys are all rich, asian advertising all favours white skin and ,it’s basically the low end of the Asian women really, who are available. So guys, pull your horns in.

Not true. And again, generalising . Not all men are after sex. Or victims of stupid carnal desires. I know a few and am sure , this applies to many, who are after conversation, companionship, respectability, decency,  shared values, etc.

I know what you mean.  They're born with natural beauty, then they start modifying things, often permanently.  I encourage my girl to use as little makeup as possible (by compliments or none - I don't tell her what to do), and she usually uses little more than moisturiser or perhaps a little lipstick, unless she really wants to feel special for her birthday, christmas etc.  For most normal daily events she can be showered and ready to go almost as quickly as me.

 

The other week we went to have a meal with a friend and his wife, who had the full works on, must have taken an hour.  She was chatting with my missus and they got on pretty good, but I could see the other girl wasn't comfortable, though my missus didn't seem to notice, then the other wife confessed that she wanted to take it off "as it was too hot" outdoors that evening in the cold season.  Listening to my farang friend after hearing that, it turns out that he is the one pushing her to wear it, so she wasn't doing it for herself much at all.  He was oblivious to how he was imposing.
