On the internet there is no streaming 4 K content so it won't be useful for that at all. You can download movies for 4K i got a 4K monitor (3 actually).

If something is not 4K it will just play in the resolution its in.

I think its an internet problem, easy to check if you can play a movie on it (non streaming) and it does not have these  problems then its an internet problem.

I doubt it has anything to do with the TV.

There are several Kodi third party addon developers that stream 4K content.

My experience is that there is not much content maybe we are looking at different movies / series. Even when I download series and or movies its hard to find 4K content and when its available its so huge (understandable). To stream 4K you would need a real good connection. I got a fiber optic and I opt for lower resolution most of the time.

I only got the 4K screens as i like the resolution for games / programs and so on.

I agree with you 100% there.

I usually stream in either 720p or 1080p, and only download 4K if it is something special.

You can stream 4K content from Netflix, VUDU and more.  Netflix recommends a minimum of 25 Mbps internet speed depending on your location.  There are a lot of TV's marketed as Ultra High Definition/4K. But it's not true 4K unless the screen resolution supports 3840X2160.

I was using external speakers played through a Blue Ray DVD player with my TCL 4K TV and was getting that ecco effect.

I found I had to turn "TV Sound" OFF through the TV settings menu.  That eliminated the problem.

4K refers to one of two high definition resolutions: 3840 x 2160 pixels or 4096 x 2160 pixels. 4K is four times the pixel resolution, or twice the line resolution (2160p), of 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels). The other high definition resolutions in use are 720p and 1080i/p.

4K resolution is used in commercial digital cinema using the 4096 x 2160 option, where many films are shot or mastered in 4K by upscaling from 2K (1998 x 1080 for the 1.85:1 aspect ratio or 2048 x 858 for 2.35:1 aspect ratio).

with You tube where the music and singing are slightly out of sync

How are you streaming Youtube? Via a native app on the TV? From an external device?

What is the make/model of the TV?

How is your network set-up? Broadband fiber? WHat speed? WiFi? Wired?

Could be any number of causes and solutions.

I have a 4k Samsung 50" and had to replace the HDMI cable , maybe that's your problem .
