how do you really know who did what until someone is caught and confesses. These days anyone can do anything just to fashion a certain narrative.

Yeah, like that 400-Pound hacker dude, or them rogue Saudi killers. It's a good thing Trump got a talent for spotting them. I'm sure he'll zoom on the right imaginary suspect in no time.

Not sure that destroying the pound in 1992, the baht five years later and latterly pouring zillions into trying to reverse the UK's decision to leave the EU can be said to have made the world a better, fairer place.

One thing that's for sure is that they have made an already wealthy and powerful man even more so. Sheer coincidence, of course.

More nonsense. Soros bet against the pound because the UK was engaged in a futile attempt to keep its value up. He just saw sooner than others that the attempt was doomed to fail. And your false assertion that the pound was "destroyed" only reinforces the utter cluelessness of your comment.

I also do not believe they were done to discredit the alt right...

Don’t need to be in this situation.

If I was naive enough to believe in such things as clairvoyance I’d predict that there are pictures of the bomber wearing a maga hat.

But I’m not.

So I won’t.

The man-child facilitated this. Due to his pathetically frail ego he bashes the part of the media (read "sane" media) that do their job and question his actions and words.

He truly is an underwear stain.

Ah you mean 'do their job' as in a free and independent media?  unbiased?  without fear nor favour?  that kind of thing?  you tarry and jest with us sir

Ah, no I don't but I'm not surprised by your lack of comprehension.

The Government last night suspended Britain's membership of the Exchange Rate Mechanism after a tidal wave of selling the pound on the foreign exchanges left it defenceless against international currency speculators. - Guardian, September 17, 1992.

If that's not destructive, I don't know what is. The "philanthropist" responsible pocketed a billion dollars in a day.

Because the Exchange Rate Mechanism was an unsound idea and doomed to fail. What you've cited here is completely irrelevant. The speculators just hastened the fall. The real blame belonged to the UK government and its mismanagement of the currency.

Your statement that the ERM was "doomed to fail" is speculation. Its fate was sealed when Soros saw an opening to make a fast billion bucks - and to hell with all those who suffered grievously as a result.

His current bid to use his ill-gotten gains to reverse the Brexit decision simply adds insult to injury.

Ah the old 'attack the poster not the post' strat!  well done but not very effective nor enlightening. My point is very valid the US media has lost vast amount of credibility and now it is divided into distinct 'halves'.

I don't want to read news for 'opinion'. I just want facts, figures and detail not 'op eds', and 'sources' BS based solely on partisan affiliation.

Soros and some other multi, multi Billionaire 'socialists'  (LOL) are up to their own tricks yet are not called out by the bleeding heart liberal media (that they own  lock, stock and barrel).  I doubt you get this but, well, others will.

Yes, the "socialist" billionaires who own media like e.g. Murdoch:cheesy:

Meanwhile, in the real world....

You think I like Murdoch anymore than Soros?  I am not 'choosy' about my loathing of Billionaires as you are. I support a free press, unfettered by owners much like The Guardian in the UK.  Meanwhile, in your liberal bubble...

I don't "think" anything about what you like, I just go by what you post and judging by your attacks on and contempt for the main stream (read; sane/moderate) press I'd say you don't like a free press if it attacks someone you support.

You attack news organizations like CNN all the time but strangely enough there's never a peep about the sycophants at Fox News.

You think MSN is 'sane and moderate'?  really?  wow even my most liberal friends (I have many) would laugh at that.  Did I use Fox as an example?  Nah you made that up!  bias, bias, bias

"You think MSN is 'sane and moderate'?  really?"

Where did I specifically mention MSN?

"Did I use Fox as an example?  Nah you made that up!"

Where did I say that? I said you never attack them. You seem to hear/read things that are not there. Are you sure your liberal friends are real?

The free press should simply report the news without any spin, how about that. From the start the liberal news agencies have been after Trump like rabid dogs nipping at his heels.

Just report the news and let the public decide for ourselves.

So when the serial liar in the WH tells yet another whopper that would make the most jaded used car salesman blush the media shouldn't fact check and report it?

That's "fake news", obviously....

Also, Trump supporters seem to have little issues with when said President's house "news" network and websites engage in their own bit of creative reporting, partisan commentary and omission of facts.

I never attacked the Jewish Chronicle either, you make a cheap deflection which is not part of the debate.  I include ALL the media (as you well know) and I ask for NON-POLITICAL reporting of facts. That's what the press should do.

Yes just like the MSN:

'a source say's'

'we have been told by someone familiar with the matter'

'it has been reported that within the White House...'

'a senior figure told us...'

Lot's of imaginary friends daily with not ONE IOTA of facts, figures or data.

Well, for one thing, when a reporter says something we know who she is independently of what she might tell us about herself.

So we know who she is and what her track record is.

We don't have a clue about who you actually are and so no means of fact checking your assertions.

These days it would be refreshing to simply hear the news without the spin. I as an adult can decide what I want, these days the news is there to sway out perspective on things. No need for a reply,

You don't want news reporting. What you want is stenography.

I'm sure Mr Soros would be grateful to learn that he still has at least one friend in the world. Keep up the good work.

I would be grateful, if Forum rules allowed me to say, what I really think about you and other "people", who spout this BS!

Until that happens, I'll stick with just feeling disgusted!
