What I cannot understand is I was watching a ThaiVisa video on one of the threads and it was on the hour. I pressed the button to 'view new content' and of course nothing happened even though the video kept playing faultlessly.

I certainly understand the position of the unpaid volunteer moderators.

 

If this situation was an isolated incident your request would be reasonable an I would certainly support it. However it is not, it is a recurring frequent problem and as far as I can see is getting worse.

 

It has been extraordinarily common since the change in ownership, and since all the information forthcoming is "there is a problem" and "it's being worked on" neither statement provides any substantive information. 

 

We can all see that that there is a problem and certainly hope it's being worked on. 

 

If that that is all that is said then endless speculation and progressively more hypothetical scenarios about the cause is only to be expected.

It is becoming obvious they don't know how to fix it. What do you want them to say? 

I dunno but every time I see the red "technical difficulties" banner across the top of the page I think I've been suspended. 

The site has become much more responsive. At least over here in the US.

Keeping the users informed as to the actual problem and steps being taken would reduce the annoyance factor considerably.

 

There is a way that would very rapidly get attention and action however I am certainly not going to mention it at the moment.

I logged in last night at 9:40 pm and it was OK but I only stayed 20 minutes.

 

Today I logged in at 11:20 and is OK so far.

The 12;32 slot got boring and when I tried to get My Notifications working after a long wait  the little black work in the top left corner eventually stopped at the game over position and gave me a 520 error.

 

I had to reboot my browser twice as I got another 520 error but the third try got me in.

 

It really isn't much better than it has been for the last month.

When I had the problem it was lunchtime so perhaps there were 2 or 3 more posters on line and the forum got overloaded. 

Today's error message, at least we are getting a variety of them :

Last night all I got was blank pages that was after it took over 10 Min: to load in the first place.

 

Solution like many others I don't bother with Thai Visa now. To much aggro. Only used to look at the local news most of the time anyway. Can get that on other sites. Now off to another site, better for me as they don't have the same amount of adds. Would like to ask who looks at them anyway.

Is it gonna be fixed this year or next year?

Forget it, the delay started 4:04 pm this tiime. Took 2 minutes to load.

In the big world there are many complex websites working seamlessly, and many ordinary ones ticking along!

 

So in all honesty why does a  piddly little website seem to confound its makers and developers for months, surely TV is not rocket science or even close to it? Its  a forum with people, writing stories, arguing about Thais, criticizing the  Gov and the odd bit of news albeit interspersed with a zillion of adverts so i am told.

 

So I really  along with many others would be seriously interested to know

Or is it some overlords are not really bothered about it working ? and its just dying slowly

I try to stay away from the cookie jar and walk up and down the stairs. So far it is working and I have lost a little weight which is good for me and hopefully keep my doctor off my back as well.

 

I do miss ginger crunch and dark chocolate digestive biscuits though.
