Does back to what ive said on here many times...anyone and there are probably a million or over who served in any british forces will of voted leave without even thinking about it...its a pity we dont have any figures but i know 10 or 11 and every single one voted leave..their choice i do not dispute that but forces life certainly influenced their thinking...and yes most do have bulldogs and unionjack tatts

Does it mean anything to be one of the few, I was in the RAF don't have any tatts and voted to remain.

Following my time in the service I was exporting capital equipment globally before and after the single market. I saw first hand the benefits the single market brought to small companies looking to export. Selling to the EU became as easy as Scotland or NI.

Will be a sad day for UK business if they have to go back to the way it was.

I think there are two issues. The first as you say is Parliament which spends its time defending its right to defy the people(those nasty little buggers they don't like or agree with) and secondly the government which, to outward appearances, defends the peoples judgement in the name of democracy but fails miserably when trying to defend its position in public debate.

I don't think a General Election is the answer because neither party is fit to govern and as events have shown the people of the UK are disrespected by Remainers (as evidence look at some of the contributions by Remainers on this forum) and those who actually run the country.

The last few weeks have been an ugly series of events. Shamefully these events have ignored a majority view that the population want to be governed by elected representatives, and have instead shown they are held in contempt by their own political class.

Of course the fact that meat-producers on both sides of the border are ALREADY operating to EU sanctioned "production and health standards" doesn't feature in this ridiculous stretch of the Remainer's imagination and the Leaver's credulity. The fact that the actual standards will NOT automatically revert to unacceptable, bare-minimum, dirty farmyard abatoir standards on the UK side at the stroke of midnight is missed.
