Khon Kaen immigration picked up an Indian national on Saturday evening for multiple offences.

Birendar Yadaf, 35, (name transliterated from Thai) was found to have entered Thailand illegally, was working illegally, was using a fake passport, was using someone else's passport AND was on overstay.

He was apprehended at the Ban Chai Rung Reuang housing estate in Nong Ko sub-district on Saturday at 7.30 pm and is now in custody, reported Naew Na

Thais and Indians, what a nightmare! In 2006, a Thai teacher wanted to kick out an Indian wearing a Turban when he entered the classroom.

She must have thought that he wanted to sell flying carpets or similar, but it later turned out that he's the wealthiest guy in the city and had two kids in the EP.

Being a good friend with the director wasn't really in favor of the teacher.

Maybe the police should investigate immigration, since the Indian came in illegally. I always wonder how people get in illegally, unless they are walking across the boarder.

Fake passport, perhaps. Or over land, shouldn't be a problem to get in via Myanmar. Russian prostitutes flew right into Utapao from Moscow, some eyes closed, money makes a lot of things possible. Worldwide.

If this was bingo he'd be able to shout " house " with that little lot ..

Love the emphasis on AND he was an overstayer ..

How could he be an overstayer, if he should not have here in the first place/

Poor bugger probably as poor as church mouse, and trying to send meagre funds to support family.

Agreed, he'd have no visa stamp in the first place so nothing to go 'over'. Just hyperbole for a trashy news article. Pretty sure South Korea and the West don't bother to make news articles for each of the thousands of Thais working illegally and overstaying over there, immigration just does their job without the fanfare.

Someone got carried away.

If you entered Thailand illegally (more serious offense) -- how can you be on overstay... overstaying what?

Deport him, he'll be back by the end of July with another name , fake passport and the stamp of some bought official that let him in in the first place

Finger prints and biometric scanning, that's why it is needed

Is the Southern Thailand News forum really the place for news from Khon Kaen/Isaan?

Maybe the editor failed at being a boy scout, no compass or sense of direction

I've got an excellent sense of direction. I know I'm going downhill fast.

55555. Yeah, ya gotta love the overstay addition. If he was ever thinking of doing a 90 day report with all the other naughtiness.
