  • My favourite singer Jintara Poonlarp -rak sali dok fai baan, she's from Roi Et of course, her real name is Tongbai, which is just as nice. Singing for over 30 years.

  • Jah Turbo changed the name to Ja Kan Hoo. Because of this song. Is shocking. People thought it too rude. More than Lamyai. “Itchy ear” thai slang for.....   She went on TV and the

Very popular singer Anne Oradee, nobody sings JIntara songs better. Often sings with morlam bands.

Got, greatest male luktung singer ever IMO, half Thai half American has held some of the most spectacular concerts with his amazing dancers, very professional entertainer.

seen them all over the past 26 years, but never one better than Lamyai

A different style altogether from the above.

Eckachai Sivachai one of the most famous of the singers from the south, great entertainer as well

Saw old friend Sallee Kanita last night at great concert at a Wat off Rama 2 Bkk. Sangravee entertainment is owned by a very rich woman with an amazing compound of new teak houses in Pak Kret, some can be seen in the film.

Last night had ramwong dancers as well, always expecting the vlogers to turn up! Not as many as this film and off stage in the crowd. This footage is all warm up before people go on the stage to dance with them. Love ramwong.

Still love this from Chalermpon. It was a hit when I first arrived in Thailand in the late 80s.

They split up a while ago. She said at her age she had no sexual desire whilst he was still young! Sunaree's choice of lovers have caused her heartbreak but perhaps that adds to her passion when singing.

I saw her in Bangkok at a temple fair in the 'winter' if 1993. Pumpuang had died the previous June and a fan called out for โลกของผึ้ง  The World of Peung ( bee), Pumpuang's nickname.

Sunaree sang it unaccompanied. The whole audience was silent as that beautiful voice rang out.

Here's Sunaree singing about Pattaya, in the old days!

Knew about her sex problems, bit odd to make it public, did not know she had split up with him, she has 2 sons from previous marriage. Hers was one of the first Thai tapes I bought in '94. Years ago at a big M150 concert I gave her a mali and she heard some comment in the crowd, she told them off and said I knew more about Thai music than most of them. Used to see her a lot at one time. She still has a voice, a few others of her generation sound pretty awful now. Her book is quite interesting.

Jintara on fire. How I loved this album of hers back in cassette days. Thank you Proton for finding it online for me a few years back! 555

Another song from the same album. She had the perfect voice for high octane morlam.

Unfortunately Jins voice is one that has not aged well, seen her 140 times. Got almost all her albums except the first 2, number 7 is a corker ????
