Naked Thai man jumps on pick-up - drugs might be involved

Our picture from Sanook shows a 22 year old Thai man jumping on the hood of a pick-up truck in Lampang yesterday.

Shortly thereafter he was taken into custody.

He had been scaring the locals by wandering around butt naked near the temple of Wat Thung Kudai in Muang district.

He was ranting about taking "ice" and Ya Ba every day.

After a twenty minute attempt to calm him down, officers and rescue personnel charged and took Ton into custody.

He was taken to a hospital for a urine test as police tried to ascertain if he had a mental health problem.

To be fair to the guy, I've mounted bigger and uglier things than that when under the influence of alcohol

The urine test was positive for schizophrenia.

Watched it on the Thai news this morning. The wife and myself pointed out to our 8 year old son that is what can happen if you do to much ya bah.

Good advice, but kids tend to think they know best on what is too much or just enough.

Best tell him simply that is what eventually happens when you take drugs.

Maybe he's seen the latest Spiderman movie but couldn't afford a suit.

..."tried to ascertain if he had a mental health problem'', difficult but it's worth going down that route, they may get a result.

Knock 3 times and ask for Martha the 'hot potato'????

Blacklist and deport.  Thailand doesn't need these type of people.

And to think they are talking of decriminalising ya ba. . .

Lock up your daughter - and your pickup.
