WeekendRaider
it's really amazing. this month there are many serious and new insights (in 'peer reviewed journals') on food security issues. soil's reduced absorption of water, because of Climate Change.... drought to affect wheat production... and none of these get any play time with the little people. nor did Rosenfeld et. al. in January which was drop dead, the worst possible way we could go on Climate in general since 2015/2016. Xu and a Mahidol ajarn on the Chao Phraya River rainfall supply a few months ago and Freund et. al. in May 2019 on the Central Pacific ENSO being much pervasive in recent decades. all of these mean it is time to get ready. water and heat management running them off our own batteries, and knowing they will perform okay in high temps, are critical. the first item. a starting point. not in 2100 something, which is still a common way many folks still try to "cushion" socially anything they post in mass media or in general type newspapers. "Climate" as a multi-faceted phenomenon and serious end game for all plants and animals is in full swing. it is not the same old story anymore in 2019. it wasn't in 2015 either but it is now up a full notch in the when? now category. if science folks are talking about it, it's right around the corner. you can talk about "plant food" or "ice melting in 2100" or the same old nonsense about how "farmers" are making fires..... and that it ain't correlated to higher ambient temperatures or that, for instance, July 2019 was the hottest month ever recorded.... and 2019 was barely above a neutral ENSO. you are a total fool if you do. In fact, long-term exposure to incense smoke was found to be related to an increased risk for upper respiratory cancers as well as squamous cell lung cancer.” Phuket have the vegetarian festival next week. Is chinese festival, they use a lot of this one. So he just say good not to breathe it. it will not reduce the air pollution from the fire in Indonesia. That’s would be ridiculous to think like that. Yinn's right. The translation from Thai to English is nonsense. 1

MaxYakov
This is like telling people to use a medical/surgical mask as most Thais do - due to low cost, no doubt. BTW, I consider the 'Moderate' AQ to still be polluted and not healthy to breathe. I keep my bedroom at AQ 6 or below and wear a mask anytime/every time I'm outside that 'clean' room. Needless to say, I'm not burning much incense in my bedroom. ???? Edited September 28, 2019 by MaxYakov 1
