In that case, he could have said something like "impractical for my purposes", rather than "garbage cars".

Who says that it won't be registered for the buyer, Don?  Not one new car in any dealer's showroom, regardless of the price has plates or a book until it is registered with the DLT...just like this one.

This mustang has number plates but advert says (google translated) not registered, you dont think that sounds/look dodgy ?

It’s a fact, American cars are inferior to European (German/Italian etc.) built cars.

 

Jeremy Clarkson drove a Shelby cobra through Europe, he said it was a very cheap car for the power it produced but emphasised the fact it was poorly presented.

He pointed out at least a dozen issues - plastic knobs & dash, vibrations, lack of insulation which allowed outside noise to penetrate the cabin, saying that he said it was a fun car to drive.

Seen a few around in Pattaya, one was the 8 pot engine, sounds awesome.

I got one as a free upgrade ( class c to class k ) on a rental in the states one time, 4 days only though.

Don’t ask me which model though, it was red and a convertible  that’s all I know.

Plus it being winter time and north of Boston I didn’t get the top down, would never have a convertible after that though, it was noisy ( windnoise )  and gave off a cold vibe . Gotta be fun in the summer though !!

Certainly  enjoyed driving it around though even though i was working and free time was limited, closest i’m gonna get to owning one ????

 

In fact it was all going great until I realised that the insurance had boosted the bill to almost 4 times that of the mid-size i should have had !!

Sorry about the boring story, it’s all I have !!

The Mustang is sold by Ford so the registration issues with grey market imports do not apply.

 

Those assuming the current Mustang does not handle are living in the past.  Drive one and you will see. 

 

The Mustang Ecoboost is priced close to a BMW 430 or Benz C200 Coupe in Thailand.  That is a bit of a stretch, the V8 is around the bottom BMW / Benz coupe money in many countries.  

 

The V8 Mustang at 4.8M in LOS is half the price of the +10M baht BMW M4 and Benz C63.  However the locally assembled V6 Benz C43 would be a good alternative at 4.2M.   The Benz has better snob value and interior but the Mustang is better looking, has more power and a V8 sound track.

Ford have nothing to do with the grey market imports so I think any registration would be a matter for the importer? Considering that the VIN has to match any blue book book to get LEGALLY plated and insured here, I think I know why most pseudo-rich Thai's will walk away from their gray market Aventador, Mustang or Testarossa after they've rolled it into the ditch.
