I fear for the longevity of the thread the way Owl is going, I just hope when his inevitable lifetime ban is administered one of you lot will be in a position to take the bull by the horns and carry it on. And I don't L'imposteur.????

I joined back in June 2005 and haven't been given a holiday yet. If I get teed off at something I may type out a response that would put me in the doghouse, just to get it off my chest, but I invariably delete it and move on. Must admit I do not spend much time on Thai Visa anymore; just follow this thread and the Worst jokes one.  If this goes down the hatch, probably not much reason to log-on any anymore. So hopefully Owl will get things under control and keep the thread running at least until I retire to his neck of the woods (about 2 more years).

Just on my way across town to meet Kitten. Never seen her in the flesh, but she looks as though she will be pleased to see what I have to offer. Can't take anything for granted so I'll pick up a red tulip for her at the train station.

Monsieur Owl has asked me to post some pics and a little annotation until next month.

Well! As you can see guys, I'm having difficulty uploading Owl's images. So, I'll give them a miss for today and just tell you what we have both been up to.

With me, it's been busy with the ladies as usual. Juliette wants to make me a captured man. I'm tempted. but I'll see how I feel, if all goes well with Kitten. But. I'm thinking that Juliette has done so much for me. Including letting her under-arm hair grow. That's got to to be worth something.

As for Monsieur Owl; I know his beloved found a pic of his 'Hat lady' on his camera. He talked his way out of any trouble, but he had to sweeten Madam Owl up by paying her lottery bill. Then he caught his SinL taking his benzine on the sly. Only 80 baht, but it's not the first time. He put it down to the phone pic problem. The pic is not at all saucy, from my standpoint. Well, maybe just a little. Lovely shoulders.

Better luck with uploading the pics tomorrow. And that reminds me. Kitten wants me to join her on the demo' tomorrow. I]ll get a few pics of that; although I'll check with Monsieur Owl first. Don't want to get him in any more hot water. Or as we French say "entrer dans l'eau chaude."

Yes....I must admit to the same-the days of gladiatorial jousting are over-and a certain lassitude has set in so I read a few topics,"upvote" some posts and move on..

I am quite content to be within my Aussie/Thai community and receive a great deal of support from them.

This has been my "go to" thread for quite a while but with all these mysterious absences it is struggling now.

On a personal note,since I left Thailand a number of posters have shuffled off the mortal coil,others have returned to their respective homelands and others have chosen to go silent so there such a need for a high level of personal contact anymore.

I guess that the great river of life just keeps flowing to the sea...

Mr Ody hasn't got any problem so I guess it's me. I'll keep trying.

Spent the time since yesterday with Kitten. She is nice and makes a decent onion stew. Gonna get off soon to see how the local demo' is going.

Monsieur Owl tells me that it is very hot today in his part of Thailand. 40ish in the shade. That's hot indeed! And I'm told that there is a good chance of rain in his parts. That will please everyone if

Madam Owl refused to make him any meals for two days now. He says he doesn't care because he has a stash of cashew nuts and reishi wine. Rexkons it's only a passing phase. As soon as she runs short of money things will change.

His books have not yet arrived from England. The last one took 30 days and had been opened and carefully sealed up.

Just tried the TV uploader. No good. loads something but no pics. Error code 200.

And finally a message from Monsieur Owl:

"Take care out there."

I can't see the problem. It's a perfect photo of a grey seal at dusk.

I spent 30 minutes staring with eyes slightly crosseyed at a point just past the page thinking it was one of those magic images and the only thing that appeared was a headache!

Looks like another TV ban. 

I was told that they use a totting up procedure and eventually you are no more. His bans do seem to be getting longer. 

Seems Mrs O has asserted her own punishment. Hats the end of that it seems. Has she put a cap on it or is he still gonna try and bowler over. 

 

Well folks..about a week ago I boasted about our "English" rain but I should have kept quiet because we are now flooding with the old locals muttering about "the Great Flood" of '79" which appears to be the 'ne plus ultra' of aquatic experiences in these parts.

I shall try to get a few pics but the rain is positively cyclonic and I have been unable to get out for the past few days.

Not as bad as Ubon Ratchathani but getting a bit too close to that experience for comfort-curiously enough you can still see all the dead trees on the adjacent hills from the bushfires in 2019/20.

I heard that Mr. Owl went off a few days back to learn how to harvest papayas in a proper fashion.  Any truth to the rumor?

Good luck Odysseus. Just turned on TV with pictures of houses floating down rivers. It's pretty bad.

I hope your back soon Mr Owl. If you can just remember that David Icke and Thai Visa and Brand New Tube and reishi wine are not a good mix then you'll be fine.

Apparently you ain't seen anything yet with more due next week.I've heard of 4 inches falling in ten minutes down Umina way in 1989-90.

Yes...it's still coming down in torrents-if there is a break in the weather (perhaps later today) I shall try to get some photos.

My young friends spent most of yesterday attempting to pull livestock from the river and they succeeded in rescuing half a dozen cows.A good show.

Bit of thunder & lightening an hour or so ago, now there's a very strong wind & the temperature has dropped from 35°C to 29.

Looks like a big storm's a'coming Captain!
