Hotel close to BTS with a pool view like/better than this?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Been staying in Hotel Icon, Soi 2, Sukhumvit for the past few years when in BKK, mainly because of the pool view (only 8th floor but lovely views looking west).

Has anyone stayed in a BKK hotel close to BTS with similar (or better!) views, with a relaxed (ie. not too busy) pool vibe?

Where do you come from to think that is a great view !!

Waldorf Astoria within a few minutes walk of Ratchadamri BTS or Chit Lom BTS within a seven minute walk and a nice view of the Royal Bangkok Sports Club, though have to choose specific rooms for that particular vista.  Two minute walk to Sukhumvit.

A sign of the times we live in when the prospect of a concrete jungle is lauded!

How much are you paying at Hotel Icon?

(sorry, no input for somewhere better)

Civic Horizon right across from ekkamai bts station.  Pool on the 12th floor is fairly small but hardly saw anyone in it.  The hotel seemed to be used mostly by Japanese.  It is like a serviced apartment.  Rooms have a small kitchenette with a sink, microwave, larger than normal refrigerator and washer/dryer.  Also ironing board in the room.

I like hotel indigo. Similar view but imo a far superior hotel.

Cityscapes have long been considered to have aesthetic merit.
