The driver of the Bangkok Tuk-Tuk in which it was claimed that two foreigners were having sex has told the police that was not true.

Social media has been abuzz after a video showed a woman on the lap of a man in the back of a crowded three wheeler.

Now the matter has been commented upon by the national police spokesman, Pol Col Krissana Patanacharoen.

He said that Yannawa police had informed him that they had interviewed the driver of the Tuk-Tuk and the person who filmed the clip. They both said that sex was not happening.

Pol Col Krissana said that the police still want to talk to the tourists to make sure this was true - otherwise there would be a case for prosecution.

I guess the Thais reacting on this and all the netizens up in arms, should not judge everyone after what they would have been doing themself in the same situation.

So the social media melted down for nothing?

Well, I'm sure they'll get it up and running in time for the next "baaad farang"-thing.

Smart guys! Of course they are going to state the Tuk Tuk driver is totally wrong, and accuse themself to help the police with their lack of evidence.

They would need the couple to do reanacment  to make sure law was no broken.

This is a perfect example of xenophobia....

people wanting to believe something about other people b/c of their root dislike of the other...

create a distorted scenario and It takes on a life of its own even w/o evidence or confirmation

has more to do with one’s belief system than the actual event

Sounds like a case for The Digital Economy and Society (DES) Ministry's much-touted anti-fake-news centre

Sounds exactly the same as religion.

And in a follow-up interview that questioned this logic, Krissana felt there was a slight possibility that the tourists were actually stupider than he was. He admitted that it was unlikely anybody was that stupid, but he felt this type of action made the police look good and would reassure Thais that police resources were being used wisely. ????

He knew it was untrue, as he was glued to the rear view mirror the entire time.

The tourists involved appreciate the heads up and now feel confident about what to say when questioned.

"Pol Col Krissana said that the police still want to talk to the tourists to make sure this was true - otherwise there would be a case for prosecution," this cops a <deleted>

Then there was the Peeping Tom  person who took the video, and had to post it and tell the police.. What a great person they are.

Geezer

So it was all just a mistake and the couple were just giving each other affection. Just seems like a witch hunt on foreigners now.

It was false news. Dunno about xenophobia. If it had been Thais in the Tuk Tuk behaving the same way the story would have been prominent.

It was just a bit of bump and grind with some fake noise. Shame on the idiots posting the video.
