Oh, but I am. Call me difficult to please I suppose.

So am I, but there's always a couple that please. Currently watching "The Third Day" (ep.1) with Jude Law, "The Boys", great superhero series, and most recently, "Long Way Up" with Ewan McGregor. If you haven't already seen it, "Get Shorty" (TV series, not the movie), as good as Breaking Bad IMO.

Seriously funny; think I'll d/l the first series. I've most likely forgotten what happens.

If you think Nighty Night is dark, then watch Julia Davis in Sally4Ever. Very black humour. There were 2 scenes so disgusting that I had to turn away, but it is funny.

A couple of programs just for the PC brigade :whistling:

"Rising Damp"  TV Series  -  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071041/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

Popular sitcom set in a seedy bedsit lorded over by the mean, vain, boastful, cowardly and racist landlord Rigsby. In each episode, his conceits are debunked by his long suffering tenants.

Available from "Torrent Day" and "TPB"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Boss <deleted> (1974)  -  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072725/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

Two black bounty hunters ride into a small town out West in pursuit of an outlaw. They discover that the town has no sheriff, and soon take over that position, much against the will of the mostly white townsfolk. They raise hell, chase women, and milk the locals for cash, while waiting for the opportunity to get their man

Available from  "RARBG"

Read about Schitt's Creek winning Emmys last night. Downloaded Series 1.    The first word in the title sums it up.   About as funny as having piles!

I hear it gets better.

Harry Hill's World of TV .....BBC  August release 6 episodes

Most Brits know Harry Hill, he has been going for nearly 25 years on just about every Chanel ---it was at one time considered the most humorous thing on TV....Pre P.C. etc --He got a few BAFTA awards. Well now the BBC dusted him down and done a small series on making TV programs. I could not find a Trailer of the new show , so this is an old trailer of him , talking about Someone who just died in the East Ender's ( A Brit Soapy )

***BBC Blurb-Without any formal training whatsoever, the multi-award winning comedian takes the lid off television history by demonstrating what it takes to make each of the main television genres.

Just up, on Netflix: Rached - Sarah Paulson is top class, so's the script. costumes, cars are stars too. Lovely stuff.

Does it require watching One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest first, or more of a stand-alone series? It's been ages since I saw that.

One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest was 1975, most TV viewers probably weren't even born then, so it would be aimed at a very exclusive audience if it was connected.

Anybody watched Devil All the Time. I thought it was very good and the acting performances outstanding.

Yes, the directing was superb. Happy to see Tom Holland gaining more depth in his acting, not just Spidey anymore.

Excellent, well written and lovely location shots. Who could have put up with that bitch though for 29 years? The usual diversity casting quota but not too annoying.

QUOTE: "Who could have put up with that bitch though for 29 years"?

I was thinking exactly the same thing when the movie started and also well into the movie, and then I suddenly realised that it was her who had to cope with the selfish and "non-caring" husband and what she was doing was trying to jog him into some sort of reaction.

I revisited my thoughts at the end of the movie and thought that they were on the mark.
