Summary: The aimless pleasure loving son of a rich and powerful Russian arrested for street racing through Moscow's streets while high on drugs. To avoid a lengthy sentence his father pulls strings and as a last resort he is sent to work with the police for a year, with on-the-job training - or be disinherited. Conflicts arise from day one as the police are resentful of the rich boy dumped in their tight knit unit, he does not take regular work seriously and he finds his Corvette regularly vandalized. To make things worse, his superior officer is a woman. Eventually he begins to settle down, find police work rewarding, and very slowly begins build rapport with the other officers. There is tension with a romantic triangle between him, the female Captain and another officer, and a sub plot as he tries to find out the truth about his mother's apparent suicide.

This new 6 part series from HBO looks interesting.

Summary: A detailed account of the McDonald's Monopoly game scam during the 1990s as told by the participants in the case, including the prize winners and the FBI agents who caught the security officer who orchestrated the entire scheme.

Started watching this loony space spoof "Avenue 5" about a Space Cruise in the future.  Hugh Laurie is the "Captain".   Always wish he/networks would resurrect his role in "House" like Kiefer Sutherland did in "24"

Anyway, amusing premise and likely worth a watch for some of you.  IMDB gives it a 6.6

Must agree with Britmantoo ,Ave 5 is utter <deleted>, not in the slightest funny ,shame as the idea is good 

anyway new series of Shakespear and Hathaway ,two private detectives ,light British private detective comedy ,all 10 episodes are out in the usual places .

Baghdad Central was ok; seemed not pro- US, but a decent enough plot.

I thought episode 1 was pretty good.

Watched Oceans 8, wish I hadnt !

What a waste of time, predictable, like making a movie for the sake of it, its awful, dont bother ! 

Currently watching The Onedin LINE complete series on YouTube. Great for history buffs.

Just watched John Wick 3.

As per the previous 2, plenty of non-stop action, usual high body count, but a few extra variants from the norm in this one.

Rather a long film at 2+ hours but if action murder and mahem is your thing it will hit the right spot.

This new 4 part series looks good.

Summary: In 1999, after losing his son in a drug-related shooting in New Orleans and lacking answers from police, a small town pharmacist - Dan Schneider beats the odds when he embarks on a dogged pursuit to find and bring his son's killer to justice. But months later, the ripple effects of his son's addiction and tragic death would find him again when a troubling number of young, seemingly healthy people begin visiting Dan's pharmacy with high dose prescriptions for OxyContin. Sensing a crisis long before the opioid epidemic had gained nationwide attention, Dan stakes a mission: Save the lives of other sons and daughters within his community. Then take the fight to Big Pharma itself.

Mission impossible "fallout".

 

Another round of Tom Cruise and his now usual team.

It was ok, nothing special, I feel they are becoming the "same same" and an excuse for Cruise to play with big boy toys. Plot was weak.

 

Ok if nothing better to watch and stumble on it, but not worth searching for it.

Hobbs & Shaw ( from the fast & furious franchise)

 

All action movie, Jason Statham doing what he does best and its a non-stop action ride.

Great CGI in parts, and Idris Elba makes a great bad guy in this absolute nonsense but totally entertaining movie. If you want pure escapism with laugh out loud moments of people being disposed of, you'll enjoy this one.

New series (5) of Inside No.9 has started if you like bizarre British comedy. Usual places.
