I don't think so. But if people refuse to follow the guidance of the government - Farangs or not Farangs - they might not be tourists the Thai government needs at this time.

Why should I follow the "guidance" of an unelected "government". As long as there is no "law" stating that everybody has to wear a mask, nobody needs to follow this "guidance".
The "guidance" itself is wrong, as the WHO statements prove.

When I think of those clowns in the German "government", I have to say that they would crawl into Anutins back orifice to make him / his companies invest in the country.

This Minister is not wearing a face mask. He is in Bangkok amongst many Thai people wearing face masks and Thailand has a vast decline in visitors. He just has showed his and the Government's contempt of farangs. It is getting worse by the week!

He was handing out masks and rightly a few farang refused them, I would have refused them also - we don't know where he has been or what he has touched and I certainly would not be shaking his hand either - that is how you spread a virus - touching things that could be contaminated

I'll say that the text above itself doesn't show the context in which he said that. I can understand that he gets excited when he's handing out free masks in the middle of the epidemic and people still refuse to take them.

 

However it's debatable whether the masks work or not work, but that's not the biggest issue - the biggest issue is that he just said people don't understand the situation (and handing out masks would kind of mean situation is dire), but at the same time PM is stating that all is 100% under control, nothing to worry about.

 

So did the health minister just negate his boss?

Those masks are not particulate masks and next to useless as they are saturated in minutes, they are not designed to filter particulates from the atmosphere, and are not form fitting. Distributing them is a waste of money.
