I have a great idea how to kill the virus. It will work 100% sure. And it's fast. Just nuke the virus! The nuke does not even have to be inside the body. It works from a distance. Whilst the Trump comments on the use of disinfectant rightly came in for immense ridicule I found a rebuttal statement from 'Researchers convened by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine' to be more worrying.

 

They were responding to the White House on the sunlight impact issue and noted 'Given that countries currently in 'summer'  climates, such as Australia and Iran, are experiencing rapid virus spread. a decrease in cases with increases in humidity and temperature should not be assumed.'

On second though I think it's good what Trump does.

People who don't support him will ignore what he said.

And people who support him can be sorted into the following categories:

- Some will drink disinfectant and die. This means fewer Trump voters.

- Some will drink disinfectant and only get real sick. They might realize that this was a bad idea and hopefully don't vote for him anymore.

- A few will realize that this is a horrible idea before they try it. And maybe they will even realize that Trump as a president is a horrible idea and they won't vote for him anymore.

So all together it's kind of a win-win situation.

-- And wiki has a page discussing medicinal applications of alcohol vapors for treatment of pulmonary edema in humans.
