Should tell you about my age range and music like

One of the biggest names I saw was Bob Dylan in Sheffield, he was also the biggest disappointment on the evening, he seems purposely to blow hot and cold. You couldn't tell what he was singing, he seemed to be growling more than he usually does, many fans walked out.

I am afraid I put him him the same category as Bob Geldorf and Elvis Castello, people who became 'famous' , with no discernible musical talent and while being tone deaf.  Apart from  couple of notable exceptions, Bowie could be on that list. 

These are the only 3 bands i seen on 2 consecutive nights, the first night so good straight to the box office for tickets.

Yes, so good live I was surprised, as I was not a huge fan before that. Saw them at the Belfry (now golf resort and Ryder Cup venue) in 19 hindred and something.

555 KISS, January 1978. I was dating a girl 10 years younger in the mid-west US. She wanted to see my reaction ... damn, could not stay off her!!! Fond memories from half a lifetime ago ..

Worst ever was Little Steven, walked out – like several others – half way through his performance...????

Most special were the Kinks in Tivoli, Copenhagen, where the police stopped the concert hardly half way through; the audience got mad and smashed the concert hall, so that was for ages the last rock concert in Tivoli...

And also not to forget Wham's farewell concert "The Final" 1986 at Wembley in London, felt like the audience was me and some 70.000 crazy screaming teen chicks...????

 

Most memorable concert was the first Rolling Stones, also in Tivoli Copenhagen, in March 1965 – they had a small hippiebus sized tour-van by that time, but the band flew into Scandinavia – it was Brian Jones that was the Danish teen girls' big love, a huge banner folded down from the balcony with "I love you Brian", and the girls even tried to run onto the stage to hug both Mick and Brian. I'm sitting on first row (at left) here on one of the few press photos from that event...????

 

 

Best are many, and if different ways. Some of the many Rolling Stones' concerts I've been too (only missed two of their tours) were outstanding; but also Jetro Tull, especially their first tour to smaller clubs before release of their first album; and Jimi Hendrix in an early stage, and red Indian band Redbone, were all a special "experience". But also shows like Pink Floyd and Michael Jackson has been very impressive – I could go on, but would mention too many – musically it could be Young Rascals and The Doobie Brothers.

–So Doobie Brothers gonna be the video impression, live in 1973...

I've seen a few big names. Fleetwood Mac (mkII) Deep purple, Black Sabbath, the

a few months later Ozzy Osbourne after he left, oddly the set was pretty much the 

same, both at the Hammersmith odeon.

 

I saw Prince doing the purple rain tour at the Wembley arena 6 nights in a row

as I had an evening job selling hotdogs in the place.

 

Went to Berlin in 1990 to see the Roger Waters and guests doing the wall.

 

Oddly enough, one of the best gigs I saw was an Aussie band , Mental as anything,

at Brunel university in Uxbridge. They put on a great set, had huge energy and 

interracted with the crowd really well. Just a surprisingly good night out.

Finally someone with the courage to tell the truth. I even cannot understand Bob on record ????. So many "great" names are by far overrated, like Joan Baez, Eric Clapton etc. And so many young talents unrecognized, such as Matteo Mancuso etc.
