Anutin: We haven’t sent officials to hotels to discuss quarantine facilities

Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul clarified today (May 26) that his ministry has not sent officials to discuss with hotel operators the possibility of using their rooms as state quarantine facilities in exchange for money, as reported recently.

He advised those who have clues of such “illegal” actions to report the matter to the government.

Anutin made the statement when visiting Government House to observe his officials and others get flu vaccinations.

The minister mentioned that US cardiologist Eric Jeffrey Topol has praised Thailand as one of the five countries that have successfully dealt with Covid-19.

Regarding assistance for tourism businesses that will be proposed by the tourism and sports minister to the Cabinet this Friday (May 29), Anutin said that although the businesses would be allowed to restart, they must abide by anti-virus measures in this “new normal” until a vaccine is available.

Well, that certainly clarified the entire hotel scandal situation. Thank you.

Looks like he is playing dress - up again.

Oh deary O dear caught yet again with fingers in the Biscuit Tin after the Face Mask scandal I wonder just how much more of this the Thai people will allow.

Understand, they didn't send officials. Reading in between the lines, they sent a courier instead.

What a laugh, just like "panto" - Oh yes you have, oh no we haven't, oh yes you have, oh no we haven't!!!!!!!!

But my dear chap, it was your job to send your staff to personally check and review the suitability of various hotels etc to ensure they met the quarantine standards you drew up (with medical advice).

I would expect that demonstrating they had sufficient face masks would be part of that for example.

Now, to make up for his astonishing lack of qualifications as health minister, he has taken to wearing a doctors shirt. At least he looks the part. If only he knew anything about the health field. To think that Thailand survived, and did as well as it did, despite Anutin, is amazing.

And what else would you be offering hotels, to use their facilities for, besides money?

Why is that ever time we see a photo of Anutin he is seldom wearing a mask...

I don't trust this fellow. I'd say it is odds on that he is mixed up in it somewhere along the line. He has zero qualifications for his job and nothing but drivel ever comes out of his mouth.

More likely the Size of the  Bonus .  :wai:

And this Doctor is who? A cardiologist? Anutin really knows his stuff. Look, an American cardiologist has praised the way we've dealt with the corona virus.

Good grief man

This guy is the worst of the lot!! 1. Selfish. 2, Dishonest. 3. A complete lack of respect for anyone. 4. No integrity,  5. Greedy. 6. Egotistical. Actually he has no redeeming qualities as a human being.
