So you check the bills but when they are wrong you say nothing because you don´t want to look bad, as you wrote before? Makes no sense.

Hey - you're the one defining & giving ME limits.....We don't do bars.....

Most years we are outside of TH traveling 3-6 months......No matter the country we're in, yeah we usually check receipts....My wife likes to keep a journal.....She started that in her uni years.....

If we find an error, we don't go on a tirade.....

We don't go bargain searching & expect shops match pricing from days past & we've yet to have a "dreadful" time of it - over a beer!..... The OP was lucky to catch a special "opening day" price the first time - should that be expected the days after opening day too? Because he's "special" now? No, the name calling & belittling takes place simply because he didn't get his way....

Please do point us in the direction of your "review"
to "review" a place for others
that place needs to be named

i understand libel etc. as stated above,
but what did your "review" on google or tripadvisor say ?
link ?

ranting in TVF about an undisclosed business,
is not a review sorry, its just a rant.

"They need to know so as to stop more future bad reviews. "
how will the owner ever know you are talking about their business if it is not disclosed?

I post mine on google maps....good and bad...and have a username and fake pic....just like here

I add pics to prove what I say and if they wanna take me to court---well--catch me if you can.... ????

I know mate, I was only messing.

i have no time at all for young birds that work in bars to be honest.

would much rather a hot mature girl with a good attitude that knows what she is doing.

now, a fresh uni bird that study’s English, dressed in her bright white uniform is another story all together ☺️❤️????

It was 50 baht and the money is not the issue here.

you should read my OP

this thread is more of a dreadful experience than the 40 baht and/or the principle.  Let it go.  Relax.  Life is NOT perfect - EVER!  Find peace...you will find everything wrong forever 24/7/365...

I had a little instance like this yesterday, a brand that I had worked with "my" business in the UK for 20 years or more. I have an issue and I need a simple question answering so I call customer support to talk me through the setup procedure - in the end I have to email my question, and I ask for a call back to discuss the solution - get a web link pasted as a reply - It seems impossible for these people to discuss and resolve any problem.

I totally empathise with this. I went to the Central Mall yesterday and the smiling security guard who'd always saluted me came up and complained I wasn't wearing a mask!

These people are out of control.

Even when I explained I was German he would not return to his usually subservient demeanour.

What is happening to this country?!!!!

Exactly, for it to be a "review" the place needs to be named
pics for proof also help (which the OP has none)

it is not illegal to leave a review, nobody will be looking for the OP for posting an honest review

What the OP has done is pointless
just come on TVF to rant about how he was undercharged one day
and charged correctly the next

There was no issue except for the OP's attitude,
but he helps no-one
as even the OWNER will be unaware of anything
as he has not named the establishment

Correct . Why should the owner be concerned, she was right either way! Pub patrons all over the world can be difficult and Bar reviews about such incidents are really quite useless.

Agreed, the owner should not be concerned,
my point was more, if the OP actually wanted anything done about it (if it was ever an issue to start with)
instead of just ranting/Thaibashing on TVF
the place would need to be named, so that the OWNER is aware (of the OP)

This thread reminds me of how copper wire was invented, two Scotsmen having a tug of war with a penny. Seriously, 50 baht? No wonder Aussies had to invent the phrase whinging Poms.

What if you wasted 50bht with every purchase you made in your life?

I drive a bit further (200m) to save 4bht on a bottle of wine cooler.

That's 12bht a day = 360bht a month (or another 12 wine coolers).

There are those who are foolish with money and those that are careful.

Nice if you're so wealthy that it doesn't matter, but most of us don't have that advantage in life.

I find those who do the 'farang pub' particularly foolish.

Small beer 140bht Vs 'Thai pub' large beer 80bht.

Why?

Is the company of white pensioners and 70s rock music so important to you?

I prefer the company of the Thai university beer girls, as well as the cheaper beer.

But to be honest, now I'm older the 50bht large beers (28bht wine coolers) in my home is more comfortable for me.

I mostly drink large bottle beers now unless I'm in agogo where i opt for draft but in Pattaya I don't know of these Thai bars you refer to except Thai BBQs where large beers are standard. I know Thai discos but they are a no go zone for 99% of falang. Maybe someone can recommend a decent thai style bar in Pattaya selling large beers?
