This ‘may’ have changed - but I think you have 1 year to renew.

You still need an Affirmation of Residence letter (from Embassy) / Proof of Address (from Immigration) / Yellow house book (accepted in most but not all DLT’s)

You may also need to book an appointment (online). Alternatively, you can pop down there and see if they will ‘fit you in’, and if not, book an appointment while there and also confirm what documents you need.

You need all three or just one?

One year as stated in written rules.

After more than one year, the theory/multiple choice test has to be (re)done.

If less than a year what test(s) need to be done?

Just checked, and mine expired last November!

Every renewal requires the physical tests (reaction and eyesight tests).

Usually you also have to sit and watch some tutoring video.

You need one document for proof of address (res.cert.).

What is accepted seems to vary between offices.

In worst case they require res.cert. from immigration.

And immigration might require a statement from DLT that a res.cert. is needed

Went down today but was turned away because i only had 28 days left on my visa, apparently you need to have thirty.

Guess I'll re-up the visa a month early...
