Any time spent fighting his dismal outcome is actualy a good thing as he can't destroy more of America.      Recount Recount

He does his best to destroy (people's opinion about) democracy in the USA. That is bad enough.

Well yes repubs have been caught emailing people to do just that.

Which "Repubs" emailed which people, telling them to vote fraudulently ?

Actually in Florida they received 50 voter registrations listed as Democrat from dead people.  Sneaky Antifa. Do that 5000 times in the key states and they get their man in the White House.

Because he waits for facts and doesn't call BS like your leader.

NV AZ and GE aren't certainties. PA is and with 20 EC votes is enough to get him over the line alone. Come on PA crack on (and with a big enough majority for it not to be contested, 100k, I reckon)

Correct on the numbers. Yes Biden winning Pennsylvania and the presidency is a certainty. Its already been called by DecisionDeskHQ and the main networks in a normal year with a normal president would have called it yesterday. You can take that to the bank. As far as the others I think only Arizona is at risk for Biden but I think its likely he'll win that too. Biden's Georgia margin has widened meaning a recount won't change anything.

That shows vote  fraud has been attempted , they probably tried other ways as well and didnt get caught

Probably is fake news and doesn't get you anywhere with a court case.

Looks like both Biden and Trump have got over 80 million votes each (Biden a bit more than Trump) and these are the two highest ever. So, no, not a typo.

No, they haven't

If either of the two sides is happiest with the result, then I'd be tempted to say it's the Republicans even if they lose the WH.

I take your point that aspects of the outcome were disappointing for Democrats. But to say that the Republicans will be happier than the Democrats with getting Biden into the White House, the House remaining with the Democrats and the Democrats still having a  shot at the Senate,   is drawing a long bow.

Incorrect.

At this point its (rounded)

Biden

74.4 million

The exiting president

70.2 million

Still very impressive numbers for both.

Projections are that Biden will have a 5 million vote lead by final tally.

The democrats are very disappointed with the results in congress.

Lost seats in the house when an increase was expected. There was almost no chance they would have lost control though.

Didn't achieve control of the senate which was seen before as more likely than not.

Many Republicans are privately happy to be rid of 45. He governed as a bully. They lived in constant fear of being primaried from him by one of his classic insult attacks if they said one word of criticism towards him.

You're probably aware that if they can win the two Georgia seats in the runoff in January they are 50 50 with Vice president with the deciding vote. So not too bad.

Read it.

I am aware but I think the odds of winning both seats are slim. But wouldn't surprise me if they turn out to be the most expensive senate races in history.

I did read it and it doesnt mention how people were supposed to vote at closed polling stations , just seems like someone got their postal voting dates and polling station voting dates mixed up

OK, looks like a Biden win and the Dems will take the House, which I'm sure they will be happy about of course.

However, the celebrations are somewhat mooted as it has hardly turned out as expected with Trump getting over 80 million votes and states being decided on razor-thin margins either way ... not a "blue wave" at all, more like a ripple. Also, the Dems have lost 10 seats in Congress, not going to get control of the Senate and the Supreme Court is 6-3 against them. So, all-in-all, the Republicans will be exhaling a huge sigh of relief and be thinking that this is not that bad considering what we were led to believe. Once again, the mainstream media, social media, big business, polling companies and others showed their bias and arrogance by getting the figures completely wrong (same as last time). There seems to be plenty of closet conservatives that won't say so due to the venom of society and backlash if you don't say you're a raving lefty (cancel culture/social media trolling or getting fired from your job etc.).

Biden might have to pull out the "rule by executive order" book too as getting anything meaningful through the Senate will be hard. The figures again show the gaping divide between the metropolitan/coastal areas and everywhere else and almost looks like it is pretty much a 50-50 split in American society ... even though we were led to believe otherwise. If either of the two sides is happiest with the result, then I'd be tempted to say it's the Republicans even if they lose the WH.

One thing Trump has managed though is that his four-year presidency with be talked about, diagnosed and debated for decades.

First off, Trump has so far gotten a little over 70 million baht.

And I'm sure that the Republicans are thrilled that they lost the executive branch. Give it a rest. It certainly wasn't the victory the Democrats were hoping for, but it was definitely a big loss for the Republicans. And a big gain for science-based governance.

No, they asked them to try and vote. Thats voter fraud.

Beacause they couldnt do it shows the system is working. But its still voter fraud to try to do it. They were caught.

No, the problem is  in the White House but it is gradually and steadily being resolved right now.

Unlike trump Joe Biden is waiting until the numbers back up his position.

It will come soon.

No, that is what Ben Geffen suggesting MAY have been the reason, thats just his guess and it isnt a fact

Ben Geffen, an attorney at the Public Interest Law Center in Philadelphia, told The Daily Beast that Republicans may have hoped to slip in illegal votes in an attempt to show that the vote-counting process is flawed.

"I wonder if they're doing this in hopes of slipping one through and then waving it around as an example of the flawed process," he said. "The real story is, it sounds like the Trump campaign is promoting cheating."

Not exactly.

The numbers justified Biden declaring victory yesterday because its certain that Biden will win Pennsylvania and that's the ball game.

But the networks have been shy to call it for obvious reasons.

Biden is waiting for the network calls.

I expect that within the next few days.

Also it is customary for the winner to not declare victory until they have a concession call with the loser.

But nobody is expecting that to happen this time.

So anyway expect Biden's victory speech soonish.

Yeah that’s true but once the numbers are irrefutable Biden should be able to take his position as president elect.

Pointless waiting for trump to concede, not going to happen.

It takes class to do that.
