Do you stand aghast at the Chemistry you have forgotten?
I recall well my liking for the first episodes of Breaking Bad. I thought this series very well done. However, after a while, it seemed to me that the quality became degraded a bit. Still, a very good show. I do NOT recall any particulars, probably, once again, due to me poor memory. ================== But, I can tell you some good news: I have found the right Chem course for me..... https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/5-112-principles-of-chemical-science-fall-2005/ I believe that the SECOND-TIME around will be full of warm feelings of nostalgia. But, just listen to this prof's voice...... What do you think? Could you listen to this for long? I might be OLD-SCHOOL, but I prefer a male prof for Chemistry, and a female prof for Sex-Education.... What say you? -

What Books Are You Reading ? (2025)
Current fiction read: Fun read with a gal has the protagonist. Little different novel for Weir, but enjoyable. Artemis by Andy Weir is a science fiction novel set in the near future, following Jazz Bashara, a quick-witted but down-on-her-luck smuggler living in Artemis, the first and only city on the Moon. Jazz navigates the lunar colony’s tight-knit community and its unique challenges—low gravity, limited resources, and a rigid social structure—while scraping by on small-time hustles. When a high-stakes job offers a chance at wealth, Jazz dives into a dangerous scheme involving sabotage and corporate intrigue, uncovering secrets that threaten the city’s stability. With Weir’s signature blend of hard science, sharp humor, and fast-paced action, the novel explores themes of survival, loyalty, and ambition in a vividly imagined lunar frontier. -

Updates and events in the War in Ukraine 2025
Kim Jong Un paid tribute to North Korean soldiers killed while fighting for Russia, saying his "heart aches" over the losses. The rare comments were made on Thursday August 21 during a ceremony in Pyongyang, where the North Korean leader met with military officials of a unit that fought for Russia during the Russia-Ukraine war, according to state media. It is said that he praised his men as a "heroic army" with state media images showing Kim giving commendation badges to soldiers. He was also photographed pinning badges on the photo frames of deceased soldiers, which lined the wall, with each soldier’s name written in gold beneath their image.
