Its not common sense a bridge  can only hold 5.  Was there a capacity sign?  Even so a smart  engineer would calculate how many people could possibly fit and design for 3 times that.   With steel cables im sure it could be designed to be safe and still look primitive.  I would say real bad press for the tourist industry and Thailand continued lack of safety standards.  Maybe they need some big lawsuit settlements.   Could easily have been  a paralyzed person.   Thai government needs to come down hard.  But tit.  

Did anyone notice the real pros amongst them? They held their drinks high, not allowing them to be be contaminated with mere water, clean or not.
