He is known for creating guitar riffs with various guitar tunings, melodic and technical solos, as well as distorted guitar tone. He was influenced by folk and eastern music. He formed the band Taste in the late 1960’s and later released solo albums through the 70’s and 80’s. He has sold over 30 million albums around the world.
