Police find no evidence of “sex show” at Pattaya nightclub after viral clip

Thai social media was abuzz after a clip was posted to a popular nightclub's Facebook page.

 

It featured staff at the club acting inappropriately and there was also a sex show. 

 

The footage bore the "watermark" identifying the club.

 

Netizens said this was damaging to the image of Pattaya, so Sanook went to investigate.

 

They found Pattaya's station chief Pol Col Phisit Phoonsap who said that he had seen the clip in question.

 

He had then sent a special task force in to investigate and discover the truth of the matter.

 

The men were dressed as tourists. 

 

However, they did not find any evidence of a sex show or any other inappropriate behaviour. 

 

Despite this they still checked the the club's documentation and found they had no licence to operate, sell alcohol or sell cigarettes.

 

They were busted on Saturday, said the chief.

Its obvious the police are under resourced and cant always investigate these reports in a timely manner. We need to step up and help them out.

I am willing to get out there a couple of times a week and investigate. I will even dress as a tourist.

Going to be a lot of potential visitors to Pattaya very disappointed that what was always here, apparently isn't any more!

Probably sent the same police that bars have seen many times while in uniform....the bars probably thought police dressed in civilian cloths were just coming around for their periodic payment.

Yes it is damage in the image of Pattaya... when they closing this types of bars and nightlife.

 because the only reason coming to Pattaya is for nightlife and bars the rest of the attractions are secondary

 

Go walk  around in Pattaya and see the difference 20 years ago and 2 years ago it's already like a ghost town because of less nightlife.

 

 Pattaya Pattaya can enjoy 1000 of buses full of Chinese at day.. with big big money spending for those who belive

We had this so many times already and nobody asks how this is possible that entertainment venues can operate without any licences.

One of the biggest nightclubs in Bangkok was closedown about a month ago....no papers, no license ....nothing!

Wouldn't Sanook have been better going to the club, instead of the police station, does he still have the clip on his phone?
