It was the same with the facts regarding the border wall which was never going to be paid for by Mexico, and was never going to be completed by anyone because it was simply too expensive and difficult, and you showing that only 45 km of new wall had been built was like sprinkling holy water on a demon – – it hurt, simply because the truth does hurt.

 

As someone has said, the supporters of the last loser are out and about again now they have licked their wounds, but they are finding slim pickings with a new administration which is, even now, many times better than the last one.

Migrants crossing the border and applying for asylum is legal.  Everyone crossing will be screened by Immigration and have their case adjudicated.  If they are not granted asylum/refugee status, then they will have the choice of returning voluntarily or being deported.  If they return voluntarily any petition for admission to the US will be allowed.  If you are deported, you are usually not permitted to return legally as an immigrant.  

Some people seem to think that once they cross the border, they are allowed to remain.  They are not.  

Unaccompanied minors are also screened using the same process.  The situation is complex because they must have a legal placement with approved family, foster home or group home care.

I thought the idea of this kind of democracy is to have full and open information and let people make up their minds. There will always be idiots on both sides who will try to turn absolutely anything to political advantage; that never stops, and that is one of the things an informed citizen normally takes account of.

Yeah, I saw the source.  I'm all for transparency, but read an interesting comment about Biden's recent speech.  Basically saying that no matter what he said, the right wing media outlets will bash him.  And they did.
