So your best source of “news” is a failing GOP governor, beset by his own disastrous responses and wildly looking for any deflection possible?
Nice try but as they say, no cigar.

Take your pick of news sources as they span the political spectrum, sooner or later you won't be able to deflect. Because of the biden admin the number of illegal crossings are exploding.

Perhaps you could tell us why. What policy changed.

In America they have their culture, their language and probably some family. What's not to like.

They have as much of their culture as you have when you go to the pub to visit with your buddies from back home. A pale self of the culture you had back home.

As far as what no to like? How about being a second class citizen? how about being discriminated against? how about being looked down upon? How about you Dad dying and you not able to go see him because you are afraid you might not be able to get back, as one of the guys I had working for me told me.

Are there benefits to coming to the US? of course there are, that's why they face the discrimination and come here.

but if they had some of these benefits back home, they would not come.  We are going to spend the money to keep them out, if we are going to do that, why not spend that money to help them improve conditions in their countries , and then we both win? If we were going to spend billions to build walls why not spend billions to improve their countries? As we did in Europe, a Marshal plan for Central America.

Billions that we stole from them by our "Banana republic policies" anyway.

“The border wall system is a critical tool for Border Patrol agents—it helps slow or stop those who attempt to illegally cross into the United States, giving our agents time to respond and make an arrest,” the released said. “The border wall system’s effectiveness also goes beyond the barrier itself, to include the roads, lighting, and technology that help our agents secure the border.

Great, but when will it be erected and when will Mexico pay for it?

The Biden administration favors catch and release a.k.a. open borders.  So of course thousands now rush for the border.  And we still see adult “children” coming.  Once they get in, chain migration happens.  Does America need more illegals when millions have been thrown out of work, and homeless people floor our cities?  Shouldn’t Americans come first?

Since when? Where is there such a  policy? There is no "open border".  What is this adult children category? The  children the USA classifies as children, really are children and the USA documents this. What is your data source for your claim or is this just a racist hate you wish to place here? What is the chain of migration?  These sponsorships are subject to same rules as other family reunification and the child must be an adult and show ability to support sponsored family members. do you even know the rules? Do you  think it happens automatic after a few months or even a few years?

You complain about US homeless and unemployed? Ok and you were probably first to complain about Biden rescue package that provide funding for the people you say.

Well, I don't know about the politics of this issue one side says one thing the other says something else. What I thought would be more important is the Covid situation in the US. Places in lock down, schools closed etc. yet have an open border with Mexico which according to the OP, could create a crisis point in a few days. The Thai border with Myanmar has seen refugees going into camps but the situation is different.

Texas is not in lockdown They don't even  have mask recommendation. California has been reopening. The migrants are in detention centers or are deported.

"hope". that's what changed.

the wall was begun long before Trump, and not finished during Trump's tenure.

during Trump's tenure, it was inhuman policies, now the good Biden policies are applied to exactly the same effect. no hope here.

it's just lip service. we voted to be good to immigrants, right? but wait, the law didn't change... uh?

How many illegal alien border crosses is enough?  A million?  Two million? Should we take in five million?  Trump Administration had a better system—wait in Mexico.

So you were OK with children being separated from their parents, some now forever, and put in cages?

Right, a better system. And by the way, illegal border crossing still happened.

Repubs share the blame n this surge. They have been lying to everyone saying the dems want open borders. So they hear open borders and come.

Sure did, remember the caravans and calling it a national emergency under trump. Now they are trying to say it never happened and its all on the dems.

Trump stopping aid to these countries made it worse.

Yeah, that aid cancellation was terrible.  I guess Trump does like cancel culture! LOL

Please post links when you make statements.

I should have been more specific.

"Now they are trying to say it never happened and its all on the dems." is what I was initially referring to. Who is trying to say what never happened.

Of course I remember the chaos the caravans brought.

This is a result of Trumps anti-immigrant, anti-black and anti-lgbtq+ policies. We have hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants stranded in Mexico when they can help our own struggling economy. The US desperately needs this labor force to compete with foreign powers such as China.

So biden is dealing with this crisis by putting a gag order on the Border Patrol agents.

Makes sense.  Once the fake news right wing media get their hands on anything, it's turned into a Biden/dem/lib/lefty bashing session.

No easy answers here.  Sad some think that's the case.

That link is to NBC, hardly right wing. It cites the DHS Secretary as being committed to transparency, which isn't happening. I thought the idea of this kind of democracy is to have full and open information and let people make up their minds. There will always be idiots on both sides who will try to turn absolutely anything to political advantage; that never stops, and that is one of the things an informed citizen normally takes account of.

Yeah, I saw the source.  I'm all for transparency, but read an interesting comment about Biden's recent speech.  Basically saying that no matter what he said, the right wing media outlets will bash him.  And they did.

Fox News has admitted it's the anti-Biden news outlet.  Why would anyone want to just listen to that all day?  Boggles my mind.

What were the headlines when Trump was president. Biden's way of handling this crisis is to stop the reporting. good job joe.

Son of a gun.  Go figure.  Trump used the media to highlight the dangers posed by immigrants.  Seems some here fell for it:

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/immigration/biden-administration-limits-what-border-patrol-can-share-media-about-n1261133

A DHS spokesperson said the agency is following standards set in 2014.

"Across the federal government, certain employees are designated spokespeople for their respective agencies and public statements are vetted to ensure accuracy. This standard and process has been followed at DHS since the Department's inception and across bipartisan administrations. Customs and Border Protection continues to publicly provide the same monthly data on the same schedule as it has since 2014," the spokesperson said.

The Trump administration's media strategy for DHS often focused on highlighting the dangers posed by migrants, at times inflating the risk. Politically appointed public affairs officials under President Donald Trump pushed local border sectors to publicize arrests and to take national media organizations to the border to see agents in action.
