That's a pretty stupid statement ,they don't even know what's going to happen next week.

It can all fall in to a big heap if a few covid victims spread the virus all over Los.

Am I missing something here? The UK, Germany and Italy are considered low risk? Germany had 9,000 new cases yesterday with a total of 74,000 deaths from Covid. How is that a low risk country?

As stupid as these leaders look along with their daily idea's I just have to wonder is there some special creative art school in Thailand that these guys graduated even at my age I feel I'm getting senile forgetful even tired of the bars and GoGo's I need some stimulus a course in creativity.

Travel bubble, sand box, ideas after ideas each morning it just roll off their tongues and it is don't with a straight face. Does one have to take the clown course first?????

Case/fatality rate:

Australia 3.12%

UK 2.95%
Germany 2.84%

Belgium 2.78%

EU 2.39%

USA 1.82%

Some of these places do have good vaccination programs though.

They are on about the UK USA ect who have huge vaccination

Programmes going on  coming here to Thailand first with the certificates

I think they should be looking at vaccinating the Thai people first

Before allowing others in

not "new case", but new positive tested (it is very different, you can be positive and never contract COVID, and the proportion is big). I see that in the TV, they are playing a big communication gamer to never be precise with that. But why  ? This is a good question you can ask to yourself.

Yes, that's also a big consideration.

UK has had huge success with vaccination and can be categorised as low risk

i never see any high risk all over the world with COVID. 0.1% has never been considered as high risk, it is pretty new. Now it is more than one year that the COVID fear is there, we have official national organism for count death on the year to compare wiuth any other years.  It is difficult to deny again and again about what has to be a pandemic situation. If you look at some death on year, and if you said COVID is a pandemic virus, then for many other years in the past 20 years, it has many pandemic no one was talking about. Or, there is no real pandemic situation. We can not lie or imagine things too long time with numbers.

But i see that process to build vaccines (and some other solution who are not "vaccine" really, but genetic treatment) is definitely out of safety concern process they should have to be (and it is a first one event they do as it is). So out of the road that specialist of genetic and vaccination are talking about that and are censored from many main stream media. Why ? For a maximum of 0.1% of contaminated people virus dead ? That's it ? Pretty new way to practice ! How many will die for poverty and suicide ? Strange choices, but big business, for sure.

And i'm not talking about lot of other strange things around it is totally forbidden to speak about with criticism, there is no place for intelligence there, it is down to zero point level of refresh.

I know some people doesn't like when someone explain this, but why just not look at the facts by numbers ? And stop to have binary mind thinking, start to understand the words used and there lexical field and what does it come with ? Why not ? Where is the problem to thinking a bit more ? There is a big difference between to be convinced and to be persuaded. Just understand it as it is.

Yup. Don’t be booking any flights yet folks????

Let it be very clear, me and none of my friends (regular thai tourists) will agree with even 1 day quarantaine. Thus more if vaccinated. These clowns can come up with their everyday wet dream. They will quickly been overtake by reality, us moving to neighboring countries.

More "news" to add to the confusion, uncertainty and backsteps soon to be announced...or not. The future is called that for a reason. It hasn't happened yet.

The bottom line is that quarantine, albeit wrapped in red velvet and pretty ribbons remains in place until the end of September (at least).

Expect no tourists until the end of September - at least.

If Thailand is to get any tourism (and I suspect that there will be precious little on offer) then they have, quite simply, to abandon quarantine. If they don't then they must accept there will be no tourism.

The quarantine providers, who are rather obviously driving the almost daily array of announcements will have to accept that the money they have invested is gone. The happy times which they anticipated are just not going to happen. I'm sure that, given their influence, they will be amply recompensed in due course.

You need to get vaccinated, probably annually, this virus will be around for years if not forever, not to mention mutant variety's.

twice vaccinated???...and what if you have the one shot johnson and johnson like I have???

I,too, had the J & J vaccine(with NO side effects) BEFORE they said I need a vaccine within 3 months of my planned flight to LOS in July. What if I get a booster shot in that 3 month window? You think I could suffer some health issues from that 2nd shot?

WOO HOO! My wife and I are coming in the 2nd week of April. We might only have to stay 10 days instead of 15 in quarantine! But I wont hold my breath...

Lets just wait for official clarification after which time we will wait for another re clarification and yet another and another after that. I'm expecting plenty of flip flops before it's finally decided what hoops we will have to jump through.

Have to wait for Pryute to put his stamp of approval, just more wishfull thinking by the boys at tat

Some here are still worried about people coming from "high risk" areas... but it does not matter WHERE you come from IF you don't have the virus (you've been tested multiple times)....and you are vaccinated!   So time to stop worrying about "high risk" areas, they are becoming irrelevant with vaccines and screening.

It looks like it, doesn't it? Perhaps Australia and New Zealand news sources should publicize just who Thailand thinks is safe and who isn't.

Australia (like NZ, Singapore and even Thailand) with very few cases and thus no hurry to vaccinate will be disadvantaged under this scheme. Ironic that those countries who managed the virus well lose out.
I am also puzzled how these areas will work, can a Bangkokian visit Samui for a holiday and mingle? Surely that would punch a hole in the area containment strategy. Can anyone explain ?

I think the reporting being very generous to the TAT in their summation of their ability to change their minds in the time it takes to turn a light on or off ????

I have to agree. Anyone who knows how easily things can quickly go pear shaped at Swampy airport immigration will not want the added complication/risk of Covid testing and or quarantine of any sort. You might get a few newbies going for it I suppose.

Phase 3...So how do you get to these 7 provinces from the Bangkok airport?

What about late night arrivals to BKK?  There's no flights out to anywhere.  Where do you have to stay overnight in Bangkok before your flight out?

Then it's only 1 day quarantine and you're free?

What about Non-Immigrant Visa Category “O” versus Tourists?  Same quarantine required?
