Immigration Bureau chief Lt-Gen Sompong Chingduang and his team announced the latest IB work in Tak province in the north west of Thailand.

There were two cases reported by Naewna.

In the first immigration tried to stop a black Mitsubishi pick-up with Chiang Mai plates but the driver refused to obey.

A police vehicle was damaged and the driver called Pitthayakarn ran off. He was soon arrested, however.

In the vehicle were 5 illegal Chinese nationals.

They were all taken to Mae Thor police station with the Thai driver charged with conspiracy to engage in illegal migration and resisiting arrest and the Chinese with illegal entry.

In the second case 10 Myanmar nationals and their six children were picked up near the Thai-Myanmar Friendship bridge in Mae Sot.

They had entered the country illegally and told officers they had been dumped there by their boss "Sao" who had driven them there in a truck.

They were on their way home.

At the local police station they identified Insao as their boss and he was charged with hiring illegal workers and the Myanmar adults were charged with illegal entry.

Possibly somewhere there is a call centre that is going to be 5 short . LOL .

is there a hotline number i can call ? there are thousands of illegal people living and working where i live. isn't it illegal to rent a place to live (people build rooms and rent them out) or hire illegals ? or let them open their own business ? immigration police have never come here, maybe its because all these people are under the protection of the local police, who collects 100. baht every month from each of them and 100. baht each day if they want to work. and if you rent out rooms the police must be paid their share.

Why is that important to you? Don't rock the boat if it isn't necessary. These poor illegal workers are for the most part just trying to make living; they have enough problems as it is. Why are they illegal if it is so easy to be legal.....it obviously isn't.

Am I missing something here? Are these illegals along with the unelected "PM" who said he was investigating them, then went all quiet, not mainly responsible for the present outbreak of the Chinese virus?

Illegal immigrants and Thais who helped them arrested in NW Thailand

As the title says ...Illegal immigrants and Thais who helped them arrested in NW Thailand.

Illegal people living here and Thais illegally profitting without fear of being caught because it's all under the control of the police.  the capture of 10 myanmar people make the news when there are thousands just 40 kilometers away.

It's called ' manipulation of the press ' and ' deflection from the truth and real issues '  by those in power!
