25-Year-Old Man Dies After Apparent Suicide from Trang Condo
Picture courtesy of Khomchadluek. A 25-year-old man lost his life after falling from the eighth floor of a condominium building in Mueang Trang district on the morning of 4 April. Authorities suspect the fall may have been the result of personal stress. Police were alerted to the incident at around 09:30, with Pol. Lt. Panida Hongsa of Mueang Trang Police Station responding to the scene at a condominium in the Khok Lo subdistrict. Upon arrival, officers found the body of a man lying in a pool of blood on a second-floor balcony. He was dressed in a t-shirt and sweatpants and had sustained fatal head injuries from the fall. The deceased was later identified as Mr. Buraphon, a 25-year-old resident of Hat Yai district in Songkhla province. He had reportedly been living at the condominium where the incident took place. According to witness Mr. Teerayut, a building maintenance technician, the event unfolded as he took the lift to the eighth floor. As the lift doors opened, he saw Mr. Buraphon standing precariously on the outer edge of a window, appearing as though he was preparing to jump. Mr. Teerayut told investigators that he attempted to intervene by grabbing the man’s hand, but Mr. Buraphon pulled away and fell, fatally striking the balcony below. Initial police assessments suggest the young man may have been suffering from severe personal stress, possibly leading to his decision to take his own life. However, authorities will continue their investigation by interviewing additional witnesses and coordinating with the victim’s family to proceed with legal and funeral arrangements.
