Or is BBC not reliable enough in your opinion ? From the BBC page: "" In a comment published alongside the Lancet paper, Profs Ian Jones and Polly Roy said: "The development of the Sputnik V vaccine has been criticised for unseemly haste, corner cutting, and an absence of transparency. "But the outcome reported here is clear and the scientific principle of vaccination is demonstrated, which means another vaccine can now join the fight to reduce the incidence of Covid-19". They pointed out the vaccine had good effect in all age groups, and reduced the seriousness of the disease after one dose. "" 1
Surelynot Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Will threat of expulsion apply to wealthy tourists and Chinese tourists?
Popular Post wensiensheng Posted April 28, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 28, 2021 A thank you to those foreigners already complying with all the regulations would have been appreciated, in addition to the usual do as your told or we’ll deport you edict. In fact, it would have been the polite thing to do 5
Popular Post MasterBaker Posted April 28, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 28, 2021 pathetic losers. hopefully this news will be shared by international media 3
Popular Post BestB Posted April 28, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 28, 2021 Really? authorities threatening tiny minority? Flash news, 3rd wave started from a Thai bar, catering to Thai and most likely originated from corrupt officials, but they are threatening to kick out foreigners who do not follow some rules? How many foreigners are infected? 1%? may be 5% if count migrant workers as foreigners 7
Popular Post brucegoniners Posted April 28, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 28, 2021 That's just hilarious. Foreigners be responsible? How about the government being responsible. This recent wave is all their fault for dropping the ball. Instead of guarding the border they're spraying the freaking ground, lol 4
Popular Post Christie Paul Posted April 28, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 28, 2021 Based on numerous newsletters and forums which I follow, the interest in Thailand for high net worth individuals appears to be at an all time low. Climate, rental costs and local culture fare well. Visa regulations, luxury car/yacht ownership and business/investment prospects are considered by most to be hostile. 2 1

Did you happen to read that the THAI Prime Minister was fined for not wearing a mask in public? It has nothing to do with targeting any particular group of people...it's to get everyone on the same page. Even after over 20 years, I don't understand the reflexive defensiveness of so many T-V members. If you hate Thailand...leave! Just send out one message for everyone..."be socially responsible" we don't need a message for every race ! 6 2

Even after over 20 years, I don't understand the reflexive defensiveness of so many T-V members. If you hate Thailand...leave! The fine for the primer minister was no more than silly Thai news grabbing propaganda for public consumption by the masses, and give them a subject to talk about whilst eating their som tam. Foreign consuls and representatives have very little to do with the expat communities in Thailand, so its unlikely they will be ' passing along ' anything. Indeed, many long term expats are far more clued up to what is going on than a ' Posted ' diplomat. If everybody is not on the same page after 13 months of TV, Radio, social media information being put out there, then they maybe you are a tree or a lamp post as opposed to being an intelligent human capable of gathering and absorbing information? You mention reflexive defensiveness, I wonder how that comes about?....... Maybe with the constant drivel blaming everything on foreigners and not their own incompetence, that comes out of both the Prime minister and the Health ministers mouths on a daily basis with their anti foreigner, jingoistic, xenophobic statements? Lastly, you stated ' if you hate Thailand ....leave! ' Well, you have as much power to enforce that childish statement as the local soi dog, and TV members will probably pay just as much attention. Many and/or most of us are here for deep rooted family commitments, so it's not so easy just to up sticks and go back to our own countries. Furthermore, I have seen and spoken to plenty of Thais that complain about things who are resident in the UK but we don't tell them to go back to their own country either. We listen to their point of view as it is valid, they live there, pay tax ( some of them ) and contribute to the economy, rather like Expats in Thailand. 12 2

Even after over 20 years, I don't understand the reflexive defensiveness of so many T-V members. If you hate Thailand...leave! How can you compare the Thai PM to an expat? For one, he IS PM, two, he can't face expulsion and three he can't be coerced by expats to do anything. With his millions, 6000 baht fine is not even a tap on a little finger and probably akin to 'loose change' he is glad to get rid of. Yes, if foreigners break Covid rules, punish them but keep it in line with the punishment of Thais. Again, this exploitation of a foreigner's vulnerability of expulsion. As for everyone being 'on the same page' it is not only wrong it is illogical to say that of the Thai authorities...(dare I mention TAT and all their 'predictions' and the opposite view from businesses) and probably why the PM has taken over the Covid situation single handed. His ministers didn't get the job done, so they are certainly not on the 'same page' as he is or wouldn't be taking such a drastic step. 4
