Proactive testing at and around an electronics factory in Phetchaburi province has resulted in hundreds of new Covid-19 cases being reported.

On Monday there were 669 new cases. Sanook said that 21 of these were among the general population and 548 in connection with the factory.

(The discrepancy in the numbers appeared to be a typo, notes Thaivisa).

This brought the total to 2,996 in the province - 622 among the general public and 2,374 at the factory.

Testing was being done by Royally Donated vehicles in the Khao Yoi area to the tune of 1,500 to 2,000 tests a day.

In addition 1,500 vaccine jabs had been administered and would continue until Wednesday to help reassure the public in the area.

The factory concerned is CalComp Co. Ltd.

Infected people are being looked after in hospitals and in a field hospital in the factory.

I wonder if these are factored into the daily CCSA numbers.

And of course, due to all the trans shipment of components between all the various " Cal Comp " sites around Thailand, full testing has been conducted at each and every site, as well as any sub contractors sites Etc.

Dream on
