Massive heroin seizure worth close to a billion baht made at Lat Krabang port - drugs bound for Australia

Everybody who is anybody in the war against drugs was at the customs department yesterday to announce a huge seizure of heroin made at Lat Krabang port on Monday. 

 

A total of 314.63 kilos of heroin was found worth 943.89 million baht, said customs chief Phachorn Anantasin.

 

The drugs were found by customs officials after joint operations with the Narcotics Control Board, the Department of Special Investigation and other agencies including those abroad.

 

The drugs, tightly packed in 2.4 kilo packages of brown plastic, were hidden in drums of blue and purple acrylic paint.

The shipment was bound for Australia. ASEAN Now notes that many recent busts involve the movement of drugs to that country. 

 

Deputy finance minister Santi Phromphat praised the agencies working to stop the movement of narcotics abroad.

 

He said that customs had equipment that could X-Ray containers but that the smugglers were coming up with more and more ingenious ways to move their drugs. 

 

He called it a great bust. 

 

Maj-Gen Susak Prakkamakun of the Department of Public Welfare thanked the public for their tips in helping fight the war on drugs in Thailand. 

 

NCB chief Wanchai Chaimonkhol was also at yesterday's press conference, reported by Naew Na  who said that inquiries continue into the source of the drugs after those responsible for the shipment were taken into custody.

No doubt they had to think twice sending it down under because once the Aussies got it, they couldn't get it back, and out onto other markets, this way, at least they are showing that they are doing something, before they send it back out to other destinations, nothing goes to waste when there are dollars to be had.

it really should not be difficult to trace the origins and progress of this shipment, it wasn't just abandoned there with no docs

As we could learn from top level sources, heroin turns into flour; condition is, that the heroin is dispatched to Australia and Australia only! 

The bible already teaches the transition from water into wine, or wine into water - so the heroin to flour is nothing but a modern biblical comparison, which apparently took place this century. 

Miracles, miracles - they never seize - specially if Thailand is somewhere down the line involved ????

Odds on the info for the bust came from foreign agencies. That's why their is only a fleeting reference

(other agencies including those abroad). This may make it harder for locals to skim off some for profit.
