Popular Post zzzzz Posted July 10, 2021 Popular Post Posted July 10, 2021 schools are closed as 1 kid tested positive last week> now this #PhuketSandbox update on Saturday: Nine local cases and two Sandbox cases with 70 patients now in hospital. WEEK ONE: 24 local + 1 sandbox = 25 cases WEEK TWO: 26 local + 2 sandbox = 28 cases in just three days What we know so far. The two that tested positive are children aged 8 and 9. This was the 2nd test and so Days 6-7. They have been sent to hospital. There are two families with a total of 7 members. The people who tested negative have been sent to ALQ quarantine. The two children were allowed to enter even though they were not vaccinated because they were with family members. Health officials are now doing track and trace to see where they’ve been over the last seven days. They’ve asked people not to panic. #Thailand 3 2 2 1

Back where? Are you a tourist or just holidaying in Phuket from another province in thailand. Your posts indicate 3,000+ in number?

Sorry to hear it dude...but totally NOT surprised. Remember where you heard it first. Told you in a PM, in no uncertain terms...'if you come, you will regret it.' It's only going to get worse here as the ineptitude, indecision and flip-flopping would be shocking, if not just so Typically Thailand. Good luck with all that. For now, life here in Pattaya/Jomtien is borderline normal. Waiting for the hammer to drop...again. 6 1

Boedog Posted July 12, 2021 Posted July 12, 2021 It is such a big Surprise the sandbox has turned into a kitty litter box the PM said it was a good idea go figure, no sympathy for those tourists who entered the sandbox thinking it was going to be all roses after there 2 week imprisonment and freedom was assured welcome to Thailand 3 1

WhiteBuffaloATM Posted July 12, 2021 Posted July 12, 2021 Thai PHA Moderna Delivery and Govt AZ 2nd jab are Three Months Away.....maybe. Sinovac appears possibly near useless against predominant Delta strain.....AZ effective though. No Visible Acceleration Here ...... 1

Moderna is to start as at the beginning of October, hopefully. Pfizer could come earlier as it is being donated by other countries (US, Japan, others?)/ As far as AZ is concerned, there is a shortage, as the total produced locally is by far below the estimated. However, it is being imported from other countries, and I am sure the appointments for the second shot in September will be effected earlier. Again, no actual facts, but assumptions and hopes......

Much the same in France, Italy and Germany. All with well over 100,000 deaths of or with covid but not as advanced as the UK with vaccinations. Although the number of deaths in Thailand appears to be miniscule by comparison it's problem is the enormous size of the vaccine waiting list.
