Alleged mishandling? That is sure an attempt at diplomacy. How can anyone call this anything other that completely botched, mishandled, incapable leadership, stupidity, malfeasance, neglect and lack of vision, on any level? The extent to which the handling of this has failed is historic, and if you were a supporter of this tiny man before, how on earth could yo still believe in him now?

He has to go. Get out now Prayuth! You are not liked, you are despised! You are not wanted, you are not needed, and you are the worst possible leader for this nation, at this time.

Far too polite ????????????

The vaccine procurement delays are basically genocidal, so depending on which faction will eventually control the courts if and when he and his bunch of incompetents are being tried, the result could be anything from an acquittal to death.

I would hold m breath, Prayut is on the way out whether he likes it or not.

It was decided for him and this is why his latest new law was over turned by the courts and this time round will most likely find him guilty and removed from his post, paving the way for already chosen new golden boy to take the post.

All fark ups over the past 18-19 months will be attributed to Prayut and because he was punished, it would be like having a fresh start. First will hear the excuses how time is needed to fix Prayuts fark ups and then  new golden boy will save the day

Totally agree, but you forget to mention the massive payout he will be given so he can live his millionaire retirement in comfort????

if I remember correctly, not to long ago (1-2 weeks ago Prayut and his cronies were putting forward a law protecting all of them from any potential law suits against their poor or non performing decisions regarding the covid19 pandemic

(I did try to find the link here a Asean now but it didn't show up, maybe some of you have better luck)

They made that law after the coo so nobody could prosecute

Doubt there will be any payouts but he has enough stashed away to enjoy life IF allowed to do so

This public and "allowed" version, the real version is much shorter ????

Plan was locally made AZ was going to be given to all Thai people by its owner to save the day.

Locally made factory was not set up or had any experience in production of this size, so it was expanded and equipped paid for by tax payers, even though its a privately owned company.

Due to incompetence, production was delayed and by the time production began, it was found that it can not keep up with targets and demands, leaving Thailand demand behind.

This is short version, but this is why Thailand never bothered getting any vaccine, did not join anywhere and did nothing and why private organization were not allowed to import any, because all was suppose to come from 1 place and 1 place only

Your wrong, Thailand knew before the AZ facility opened that the vaccines produced were not all going to Thailand . Other Asian countries were buying from AZ Thailand. Thai officials originally only ask for 3 million a month. AZ came back and convinced Thai officials They could give them 40% of what they produce a month 5 to 6 million a month. At the same time China was selling Vaccines to Thailand.

It’s a good thing you know how to read or understand , otherwise it would be a real worry

oh and for know it all nothing , China is not selling anything to Thailand . Sinovac has been imported and sold by CP group but for well read and knowledgeable people like you will stick with China selling to Thailand ????????

The amnesty concept, even if it does become legislation, is easily reversed immediately after the next coup or the next election, whichever comes first.

The mere fact that the relevant court has accepted the petition for consideration shows how the wind direction is changing.

As I recall, the whole thing exploded in 2014 when it came out that the scope of the proposed amnesty had been quietly expanded to include some guy in Dubai.

The devil, as always, is in the details.

Hey Scrotobike,  It is more likely,  the people from the shadows, than MIB, those un named, unmentionable,

powerful ones we cannot talk about. They are who may finally usher out the current PM and his gang.

  Geezer

I think we all know if Prayuth was not in power right now, he'd be preparing or already took control of the government by stating that the current government in power is handling this very poor and its a matter of national security.
