I also applied to Expatvav on Aug.2. I received my "acceptance" on aug. 3. I have had no reply since then. My Thai friend copied and attached my documentation as I do not know how to do those functions. My passport page was copied as well as the only page that showed my O visa. I did not provide my retirement extension, as it is not a visa. The application form requested  my visa. No mention was made in the application for my retirement extension. If they wanted "retirement status", that is what they should have aked for, but they didn't. I think the application form should have mde it clearer what they wanted: my visa or retirement status, or both? That issue was confusing. I am American, 80 years old, with underlying health condition: coronary heart disease. That documentation was provided.  Another reader posted a phone # for contacting Expatvav: 02 572 8442. I called and pressed # 9 for English. A rep came on and spoke good English. BUT he said he had no way to verify my application status. I live in udon Thani and he suggested that being in an outer lying province from Bangkok he thought it was taking longer for arrangements to be made for vaccine transfer and vaccination appointments to get made. His only suggestion was for me to wait longer for an appointment for vaccination. He had no information on applictions or their current status. No abiity to access status of accepted applications (or rejections) is, in my opinion, a flaw in that system. Other readers replies about their receiving "rejections" due to visa issues, also seems to point to other system flaws. I continue to wait, as contacting Expatvac at their phone # provided no answers to the status of my accepted application. 

  i suggest Expatvac aplicants within driving distance to Khon Kaen consider contacting Bangkok hosp. in Khon kaen and consider applying to receive vaccination there. I did that as an alternative option, since the rep representing Expatvac could provide no status of my accepted, but in limbo status (?), of my accepted Ecpatvac application. Bangkok hosp offers multiple selections of vaccines, depending on your circumstances: I chose Pfixer based on my elegibility due to my age and heart condition. My application was accpted and i am going to call and confirm my appt. date of Sept 12 between 11-12 noon. I have not received any emailor sms response since my application was submitted yesterday. I will update when I have any Expat, or Bangkok hosp in khon Kaen, additional response or confirmtion, etc.

It was so easy to put in your date of birth. I'm born in 1946 and did not have to click even 20 times! You click on the year and there comes a choice of maybe 12 years, go maybe backwards 6-8 times. I found the group with 1946 in it easily, clicked on 1946 and added February and the day I was born.

How did I know? I just read many posts of others until I found one who explained the process.

I actually managed to combine both the passport and Visa photos so I uploaded one photo which shows both documents.

There's a simple and free app in the Google Play Store that combines photos. It's called Image Combiner.

 

Did you make the call first?  So far no new email but I can wait if this will arrive anytime soon

There are several more of my posts in the topic about adding the 2 photos and the fact that my Non-Imm O visa that I got in 2009 is in an expired passport.

Congratulations, the engagement is set of course the coming together of <deleted> and client, the conummation to come, the anticpation is killing some. 2 more houses in nearby village have Covid no hospital Dr or vax hereabouts and I feel the remarkably consistent 20k per day is due to lack of testing.

Not yet. I've been accepted by email and told to check my emails daily for an appointment. As I'm not in BKK area I am supposed to be assigned a hospital in my area. How long this should take I have no idea. If it's going to be Sinovac first jab then I'm ignoring it anyway.

I also have an appointment for tomorrow and I know of several acquaintances who were either vaxed today or have appointments - however all are in Pattaya. 

Mine was from the expatvac site as not registered anywhere else that I have been waiting on an answer from.

So, "we will not assume..."  quickly followed by "...we know where it all lies...".  Joined up thinking there, or not.

 

Yes, it could have been more intuitive but I, along with many others, managed to successfully register and now have vaccine appointments.

 

The continual "we are better than you" from a sizable proportion of Thai Visa forum writers with either no evidence or, worse, when they and their own countries are at least as bad reflects on them.  Sadly, when they take that attitude out into the real Thai world, the locals see them and some then tar all Farang with the same brush. 

 

If you live in a less well developed Country, then you really ought to accept lower standards on pretty much everything.

 

Perhaps if Thailand employed and paid to the same standard as the West, then standards would improve - but so would prices.  How would a large number on restricted incomes fare then?  One more thing to complain about I guess.

Not sure of your point, it is what it is, yes we all get it.

 

Good for you getting your appointment time, I too had to go about why navigating my own way around to find a hospital sight to book an appointment for Pfizer, yes Pfizer. If you think I was going to accept this substandard BS being passed down the line, your mistaken, I accepted Thailand is a 3rd world country a long time ago before I moved here as opposed to what they say if you believe who's telling you the story.

 

Fact of the matter is, it's survival of the fittest here, swim or sink.

 

Nothing wrong with venting, especially when the truth is being told. Whether you want to or accept it, is "up to you" as the Thai's say.

Your not suggesting Pfizer is as bad as Sinovac, when reading the link, it reports that it is right up there when it comes to protecting one from hospitalisation and severe illness, 39% effective of getting the disease isn't that big of a deal in my opinion, it's keep us out of hospitals and getting severely ill.

 

Will gladly take my chances with Pfizer and have Moderna as my booster next year as opposed to taking Sinovac or AZ thank you very much.
