Phuket sandbox package recommendations

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend any hotel packages for the Phuket sandbox from experience or a good source of information on the subject.

Royal vacation then Sleep with me Patong Tune insurance fuss free and good value ????

Holiday Inn Phuket is a great place to stay. Friendly staff, big swimming pool, good food,  great central location.

Be aware that in Phuket, nearly everything is closed, even 7 Eleven. If you select a beautiful remote place, you will then feel like lost in the nowhere.

If you like busy non touristic  normal Thai life, then stay in Phuket Town.

I stayed at the Doubletree Hilton for my sandbox. Great location on Patong beach, fast wifi, and excellent English speaking management. There are plenty of restaurants open just a few minutes walk on the beach road. I paid in the low 20k baht for the 14 day stay including tax/fee/breakfast. I assume that you must return to your hotel each night.   Is it on the honor system or do you need to check back in like a teen summer or church camp?   If so, is there a hotel curfew time?

Once a day checkin is required, can be any time.

Awesome thanks.   So if you had a house in Phuket you could just sleep at home and just swing by the hotel once a day and to do your PCR tests. ????

Hopefully these new sandboxes will have similar protocols.

I'm staying at the DoubleTree again next month when I return from a trip to Europe. On the beach road I'd say about 75% of the places are now open. A few Bangla bars (now calling themselves restaurants) are beginning to open as well. I counted 12 open last night.

I arrived yesterday to Patong for sandbox.

Most places are still closed, but still many restaurants and shops are open. Even some bars.

No problem to find open restaurants where to eat, or some shops open.

Most malls are closed but Big C is open and you can get anything there.

And no Chinese, British, Australian, Indian or Russian tourists.

Only some American and European men and couples, mainly from Germany and France, so Patong is really a good place to stay now.

I suppose that 40 years ago it was similar, with few tourists and also few open venues, so I can't complain.

I was here in 2017 and this was completely different, but I don't think if was better.
