Just wondering what your favourite beer is?

 

Most farang I know drink Chang. Most Thai drink Leo. I know some who stick to Heineken or SanMig Light. I have met a few loyal Archa drinkers out in Isaan.

 

I only included the most common beers found in the bars here (or mom n pop shops for our rural members).

 

I know in the stores you can buy a wider range, including craft beers nowadays, but I decided to stick with the typical beers served in bars usually.

I drink Leo/Tiger/U-beer.

As far as I can tell those 3 beers all taste exactly the same.

 

I used to drink Chang but that beer gave be blackouts ..... a period of time where I did stuff but had absolutely no recollection of doing so the next day. A couple of my pals claimed similar effects, so we all started avoiding Chang.

My favourite beer is here not available - the Czech Pilsener.

None of the above , but in that choice i would choose Chang , Archa and Leo , depending on my mood . In order of any kind of normal beers , i am totally not picky and i choose whatever is there and my mood at the moment .

It's been 48 baht at our local tops for months, the cans are still 68 baht. Not short dated either,

Dog's <deleted>, nectar, but Singha in its absence.

I also like beer lao, especially the dark one. But it seems that is almost always more expensive than other beers. And it seems many people are not willing to pay more for better tasting beer.

Yet, it was never that high priced in years gone by.

My favourite, commonly available beer is Federbrau, but I'll drink Chang if it's raining and I don't fancy a ride to Tesco.

The headline said what's your favourite beer.   Hick's Special Draught . Only available in Cornwall so like as not will never taste again. Over here..............................Yep Beerlao Dark.

 

Does anyone else get absolutely nasty hangovers from Heineken? As bad as Chang.

 

Especially on tap.

 

Honestly, I don't drink beer anymore. Few times a year. Scotch and bourbon don't make me fat.

Its been a long time (thanks Covid) but I hope to be enjoying a Chang or 10 in December.  Poster above - I thought it was only me that got 'Changovers'. Heineken no - Chang........................jeez they're bad.

Beer Laos IPA.  For a while could even get it in 7-11.

I usually drink Singh but yesterday I bough a can of Kopper, just to give it a try.

I had an awakening!!!  It was delicious. Singh for the bar but definitely Kopper at home.

You can get Chang almost anywhere, why wait for the hangover when you can have one tomorrow.

My favorite beer routine goes like this; I'll stick with one for a couple of years then switch to another brand, anyone remember Kloster?

Was a Beer Lao Dark fan before the switch.  Price kept going up.  When lived in Udon Thani, mere 25 baht in Laos.   Here now, I think 65 ish, so a bit silly.

No hangover from Heineken cos I never touch the sweet stuff....like drinking aftershave. 555
