Popular Post webfact
By Nop Meechukhun Bangkok – A group of 116 Thai and foreign alleged partygoers was arrested at a restaurant in the Sukhumvit area, Klong Toei district of Bangkok last night, October 16th, for allegedly gathering and drinking, violating the Emergency Decree to stop the spread of Covid-19. Currently, all bars and nightlife are closed countrywide and restaurants are not allowed to sell alcohol other than a few “Sandbox” locations like Phuket, Samui, and Khao Lak. This has been the case since April, approaching seven months. That being said, enforcement has differed in many areas across the country in regards to these rules, which have been mandated by the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration, or CCSA, centrally. A total of 89 Thais and 27 foreigners were caught at the XOXO restaurant located at the Sukhumvit Plaza building on Soi Sukhumvit 12 last night after the Bangkok police received a notification of the illegal gathering in the area. The tip reportedly came from a resident concerned about the spread of Covid-19, police stated. Upon the raid, several glasses of “hidden” beer and liquor, as well as customers’ receipts showing the purchase of alcoholic beverages, were found at the scene, according to police. As long as the B.I.B. are making some sort of revenue, as in under the table cash payments, they will continue to turn a blind eye to said establishments. Those not complying with their financial requests will be severely punished ! T.I.T.

We can't have people sitting at bars drinking, even if vaccinated, because you can still spread and even catch the virus. This is and will remain the perfect control tool for governments, until they are ready to lift whatever restrictions they deem fit for the masses, and without people rising, could be a while before drinks, and sitting at that bar enjoying a cold one while some young filly is dancing on the bar literally above your head trying to get your attention. Popular Post MRToMRT
I say open all the bars but just make the owners adhere to same distancing as restaurants. OK to make fines for non compliance. Since the lockdown I have found I actually drink MORE being stuck at home on myself with only my booze collection for company.

Popular Post Greg O
All the alcohol ban has accomplished is to increase traffic deaths due to the increase in alcohol consumption by the frustrated locals racing to beat the curfew on their beat up motorbikes with no lights, no helmets ( but religiously sucking on that filthy mask) . Soi 12's the red light district ? Seems to me it's All a red light district...Massage ? Hehe enjoy the stroll... 5 1

People need to socialise it is something important to our development, look at what you are saying then agree with what the government want to do by holding mass gatherings for firework displays etc. then explain to me the difference

My Grandmother who was born in the 1890's and an otherwise very straightlaced lady, told me about her visits to speakeasys to drink tea during prohibition. What I had not expected was that no small part of the appeal of these places seems to have been the excitement of doing something illegal.

crazykopite
The whole thing is a joke on Saturday night I had to walk in the area of the weekly walk in street there were at least 300 people some with masks some without and some with masks pulled. Down to there chin yet my local bar has been closed for months where the average amount of drinkers at any one time would be no more than 20 can someone explain the logic of allowing walk in street venues to continue with 100s of people yet bars are closed and this stupid nighttime curfew continues the whole thing is senseless and as for the sandblock that to is a joke tge only good thing is that due to living within it I was fortunate to receive my 2 AZ vaccines
