Our picture today shows locals in the Lat Luang area of Samut Prakan pointing at a pile of crab carcasses.

A thousand dead crabs were dumped in the area that is near a fish raising pond and cemetery.

The stink was something terrible, reported 77khaoded.

The local authority came to deal with the problem and lay down some powder to stop the possible spread of infection.

I can see the pointing but the pictures did not show the scene where they were holding their noses.

A good idea is that if the smell is so offensive, you should probably stand clear and upwind, instead of standing right on top of the source of the stench and then complaining.

The person who counted the crabs to determine there were 1,000, must have the worst job in the world.

Pointing will make the smell go away.

Lucky they were pointing as otherwise wouldn;t have noticed the crabs

Wait, I thought putrefying dead crabs are one of the things Thais love most...?

Putting two and two together the crabs were not saleable. Probably mutant - raised in ponds without the tide.

Life can't always just be shoved in a tube and grown like mold.

A thousand crabs each taking a dump by the roadside would be smelly.....

A thousand crabs by the roadside... sounds more like a certain road in Patts.

They're only angry because it requires them to bok-bok-bok about nine tonne of papaya to go with the crabs.

Got any "good ideas" for those who live downwind?

Maybe none.   Which moobaan is "full of illegal dumps"?
