16C/59F here....San PaTong

My wife and daughters are all in long pants & winter coats....

They've got the cats "coated" too....I feel it this year too more than other years....

I imagine some at elevation are much colder....

How you getting along out there? How cold is it in your neck of the woods....

LOVE the cats!

A month ago I had to get my fat butt out on my pushbike by 7:00 for a two-hour ride around Pattaya cuz it just got too hot by 10:00.

Now? 10 or 11 kickoff time and if my ride stretches into the afternoon, it's not a problem as far as the temperature goes.

Woke up at 18 degrees ! Really cold. The cold feeling has to do with the dewpoint I understand. Around 10.00 hrs it becomes more bearable.

Yes , it is not every year this cold , but it surely isn't very rare also . At some years there's people actually freezing to death in Thailand . It does feel weird but everything is designed to keep cool , so colder temperatures do feel very cold indeed .

Love my country walks this time of the year as well and a good motorcycle ride through the country lanes.

Yes, there's collections/donations every year for the Hill Tribes.... It's probably in single digits at the higher levels = which takes it's toll....

Personally I'm loving it.

Gives me a chance to wear some of the clothes I can't wear the rest of the year too.

Are you sure those cats aren't photoshopped ????

Petchabun. 17 outside 21 inside this morning.

For any cooks out there , now is the time for making pastry and meat pies. Fill the freezer while you can.

I must have acclimatized too much.  Sitting on my balcony at 7am and 22C and my teeth started chattering and the hairs on my arms went vertical.

Back home In my part of the Democratic Socialist Republic of New Zealand, 22C is a moderate summers day.

I kind of questioned that also. However, having checked 16C =60.8F.

4:30 am around 16 C inside and 13.5 C in the front garden over the w/e. This morning 18 C inside 16 C outside.

16-17° C is positively balmy for Loei province????????????

That's interesting. I've been wondering why low temperatures here feel about 10 degrees lower than they would be in my native UK, ie 13 here feels like 3 in the UK, and at 14 this morning I could see my breath on the air. That would never be the case in the UK.

We've had as low as 13 at night and 30 or below during the day for almost a month now where I am in Kalasin Province. Haven't even needed a fan on, and I've had to put a shirt on and sometimes in the evening even a jacket.

A couple of years or three ago I needed to visit the local hospital at 6 each morning for a week for a drip after a dog bite (and at 2pm, and at 10pm), and it was 8 degrees then. And it was only then that I realised that cars in Thailand don't have heaters. I just hadn't noticed before, not given it a thought. Why would I?

I've had a rough day.

This was a real bright spot. I don't even like cats.

Thank you

When I switched from C to F on my weather site.....

Yeah Google says 60.8F is 16C...

Agree, not correct but not a huge leap ...

I also live just outside Sanpatong and 16C is positively balmy compared to some of the cool season morning temps we have had to endure in previous years.

Below 10C first thing in the morning with low lying fog was quite common when I first moved here 12 years ago.

Was just doing a bit of ball busting! But being from the USA and learning Celsius & metric later in life, always strived on being as accurate as possible. Especially since living here so long and working alot in Europe. Great cats and their duds. ????

Sure that's not a Thai address?

Lol a little bit cooler here in my house in Nongprue East Pattaya but still not bad. I can still sit on my veranda outside with no shirt on and inside the fans are on setting 1 rather than setting 2. At night in the bedroom air con still on its normal 23° setting.

Okay then, (60.8 F-32 F)x 5/9 =16 C = 289 Kelvin, ????
